Yeah looks pretty good, I think there is another place based in Hoxton square that is retul approved, called bespoke cycling.

Considering the pedigree of Cyclefit compared to the bike whisperer, I would take cyclefit anyday, also they can make you specialist orthotics, and the wedge system they used has been life-changing in respect of my pedalling, they include the fitting/consultation side of the wedge/orthotics bit as part of their time.
I would say it depends on how much you value your cycling, if you want the cheapest go with bike whisperer, if you want the best go with Cyclefit.....you get what you pay for IMO, especially considering cyclefit deal with orthotics and wedge fitting which made a HUGE difference, more so than any other change that was made, and the whole lot compounded together to change everything for the better. :)well the guy works with the GB guys, must be worth the money hey!!
Indeed, after my experience I would say so :)

James you hasn't even been to the bike whisperer, there are time it's best not to make drastic comparison when you don't know much of the other.

or to a specialized BG accredited shop.

it is all kind of redundant conversation seeing as i don't have £95 to drop on my bike, let alone fitting!
feels pretty good tho, i dropped the bars a cm and make all the difference.
i have fucked up feet tho, massive toe in so i wreck the sides from rubbing on cranks and heels from walking, made all the worse on left foot by ripped cartilege on inside of knee (ripped whilst bmxing, not normally, like you'd rip a bit of paper, but like pulled apart a bit of cardboard).
funnily enough, road biking doesnt hurt the knee at all, but walking, or cycling standing up (or skidding alot) does.

Did they start with inside leg X 109% and then go from there?

Have you been to the bike whisperer Ed?
Where does it say anything about them dealing with orthotics, and/or cleat shoe wedging?
These two things for my situation and a lot of other peoples make the world of a difference, pretty essential wouldn't you say if you're going to spend that kind of money on having everything customized?
I'm not slagging them off, i'm simply stating that the level of service offered seems more in depth and thorough at cyclefit, which is why I went with them instead of thebikewhisperer, and is why I would recommend others do the same.or to a specialized BG accredited shop.
I never mentioned anything about a specialized BG accredited shop......

The measured inside leg, leg length difference, foot pronation, differences in foot pronation and how it was effecting power output between the two legs along with: The angle of my lower leg in relation to my upper leg
hamstring flexibility
calve flexibility
spine flexibility
hip movement
side to side knee movement......Thats just the stuff I can remember, the list of things they check/assess is pretty extensive, and each time an adjustment was made he was checking my knee angle and power output between the two legs, whilst simultaneously recording video for further analysis, and slow motion analysis of my pedal stroke.
There was other stuff as well, I think i'd be here all night if I tried to write it all down. -

I would say a good fit is an investment in your cycling. Like his craziness I looked around at the options and went for Cyclefit. However if you can't afford them bike whisperer by all accounts are very good. Both will help a huge deal. Scherrit has a track background whereas Cyclefit tend to me more roadie.
There are different fit systems and the fit should be geared to the intended type of riding. There are pros and cons to all but I'd suggest any bike tweaked to your fit dimensions will make a difference.
If you are not entirely comfortable cycling or want to get a bit more out of it a fitting is worthwhile. If I was to be riding for a whole day and given the choice of a 3 grand ill fitting bike or a 1 grand one that fitted I would take the cheaper bike. As such I you are buying a bike knowing it will fit will be of huge benefit. Rather than tinkering with stems, bars, saddles and the position of components you can get it right first time.
A fit is an investment worth considering, in the long term it will save you money and give you greater cycling pleasure.

A proper fit will also help to prevent injury and give you years of cycling happiness.
Cyclefit do anything from Bromptons upwards. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Is cycle fit done fully on a serrota size cycle or similar?
I've had a fitting done elsewhere which was a similar price, they really made a massive difference but reckon if I was going for one now I'd go to cyclefit. They do make a massive emphasis on your getting your feet right and after doing the etape I didn't know anyone who's feet weren't in agony. My fitting was done on my bike so it was trying to get my bike to fit me the best they could rather than finding out what my ideal fit is. At the time thats what I needed but now I really want a custom frame so would like to start from a blank page, very tempted by the titanium glider!

I agree, neither of us crash and hurt ourselves on our expensive bikes.

It sounds like Crazy James had pretty much the same epiphanies that I had after my visit. It is a really amazing. Getting correctly fitted to your bikes makes a massive difference in how much you enjoy riding. Absolutely worth every single penny.

oh and they do use a serotta size cycle

CrazyJames, you are comparing two places, one of which you know NOTHING about.
How do you know your issues were unresolvable without wedges/insoles? Answer: You don't.
By all means be happy with your cyclefit but don't slate bike whisperer when your opinion is completely uninformed. You only started riding clipless a month ago ffs. -

YEAH. it could probably all have been sorted just with a bit of gentle whispering in the bikes bottom bracket.
so NER.

CrazyJames, what saddle did you have before they gave you the saddle? I had no idea that a new saddle would affect pedalling.
And was it the "EXISTING CYCLEFIT - ON OWN BIKE" that you did? How many hours did it take? And how much did the wedges cost?
Sorry about the interrogation ...

By all means be happy with your cyclefit but don't slate bike whisperer when your opinion is completely uninformed. You only started riding clipless a month ago ffs.ANSWER: I DO ACTUALLY SMART ARSE!
I have had years of medical consulations from top consultants in the fields of ORTHOTICS, and osteology because of my injuries.
When discussing with my ORTHOTICS consultant my plans about 10 months ago to engage in more longer distance cycling than a casual trip to the shops (the same consultant who made my FULLY CUSTOMIZED CARBON COMPOSITE INNER SOLES that I use for powerlifting and sports/gym work), I was told very sternly that I would need specialist orthotics if I didn't want major knee issues in the future, due to the leg length discrepancy (around 2cm) and muscular issues I have.
I need orthotics to walk properly, sometimes I am just lazy and wear a WEDGE type insert in one shoe, but for any extended period of time, I have to wear the proper inner soles I had made for me otherwise my knees ache to fuck.Just for you Hippy, here's a list of my leg injuries that effect my cycling:
Femur Fractures 4 clean through leaving the entire femur fragmented within the muscle, with a small portion (about a centimetre) turned to dust.
Resulting in around a 2cm leg length discrepancy.Crush injuries sustained in my right lower leg, which later brought about compartment syndrome, compartments had to be relieved which involved cutting deep into my right lower leg and seriously wrecking loads of muscle tissue, along with fracturing some small bones I think?
It took me a year before I could feel anything in the lower half of my lower right leg again, and nearly two years before I regained feeling in my foot, such was the extent of the nerve damage.
I also still have issues with the muscles that stabilize my right ankle and foot, probably always will....The two above injuries alone required 6 operations in total, they spent 5 hours putting my left leg back together, and I came within minutes of losing my right lower leg twice.
Oh yeah....and I have some minor Tendon Damage in my left knee (well minor these days it was pretty major at the time), from a snowboard crash.
So in summary, I went with Cyclefit because I felt they offered the more complete package, i'm not slagging off thebikewhisperer, as I said I just think that cyclefit offer more, and are justified in their increased price.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. -

On a less serious note, don't put teh custom footbeds in the washing machine at a high temperature.
It doesn't end well for all garments concerned.
just putting it out there, my bro had it done and said it was wicked...
