Overpriced: Agreed.
But still quite nice. -

Not sure it works aswell in 50cm, 53 2009 is definately steeper in the top tube.
Bit like the Cannodale track only works in certain size.
Still shits on everything else.
Just an opinion like.

Only because you've never ridden bike like the Surly Steamroller, BMW Gangsta, etc.

My Surly Steamroller is much better than a Cinelli Mash.

I think it's a sweet frame with an utterly crap paintjob. That grey won't look good with anything!. If I was given one I'd be on to Armourtex within the hour. The only two other things I don't like are the price and the 'Mash' association. If Cinelli brought the same thing to the market with plain paint in nice colours and knocked two hundred quid of it they'd sell like hotcakes I reckon.
Also I don't why it has to be better or worse than a surly or a BMW (we all know you like it Ed)- they're made of steel and have different geometry and so are bound to be different. Personally I like the feel of a nice responsive aluminium track frame.

Cinelli is dicking around with their 'fixie thing' anyway

Yep, me too. Steamrollers are good at what they do but they are not better than the MASH, they are different.
I would take the MASH everytime as Steamrollers feel sluggish in comparison to a light and stiff alu frame with carbon fork. I would also keep the paint and just pop my all black parts from my current bike straight onto it.

Fuck yeah!
the best compromise ever would be a decent steel frame with carbon fork.

In your opinion you mean. I for example would never own a Steamroller. Never considered it. Never will.I have often though about the MASH. Its a nicely made piece of kit with a gash colourway.
the best compromise ever would be a decent steel frame with carbon fork.
Why strive for compromise?
Why not people who like X have X and people who like Y have Y??? -
• #272
compromise don't necessary mean bad, while alu is pretty light, it can be too stiff sometime, even the Globe Haul I have were too stiff until I drastically change some of the component to compensate.
steel frame and carbon fork make for a lovely ride, but in the end, it's horses for courses, some like alu, some like steel.
