I've already got a Steamroller. I reckon the Mash would be wicked fun SS at work, which is why I'm doing it.
It will feel hard work to ride compared to fixed.

In the process of slaving mine, a pretty generic build atm, still trying to figure out whether to put the carbons on here or the SP?

Thanks mate,
Will most probably de-sticker the wheels (they'll most probably live on the SP anyway) and go for ODI XLs then done, the Mash will have the H+S in white (rookie error).

De-sticker Enves?! Nooo

Does not compute...
Enve is high class slave work. -

Also would keep stickers, most of the time rims like that look sort-of cheap without anything I think.
Could align the logo on the tyres somewhat better though. -

Enve is high class slave work. This wheelset shares duties with another bike that would probably look better with nude rims, although I am having second thoughts about it now.

How so? The tyres are aligned with the valves (I've taken the extenders off).

Cheers.

Thought it'd look better if the 'gatorskin' was centered with one of the 'enve's, not between two 'enve's,
nothing to be done about this on your part though (I could have realised this earlier).
: ]
One of the nicer / straight / clean mash builds I've seen, all in all! -

have you bought them first hand? enve never had the weave sections like yours... plus, they're on novatecs.
how deep are they? -
• #1663
Yeah I didn't wanna say but they look a lot like china carbon.

Regardless of stickers or not, this looks fantastic. Wish I hadn't hesitated when Wiggle had these on sale and in my size.

how deep are they?Yeah, knock offs. I was in the process of getting a ch cut to go in front of the logos but the vinyl I bought was gloss hence the thinking about stripping it all together.

I would keep them. Even if only to piss off some roadies
'even this kid has enve rims on his fixie, fuck this, now I have to buy them' :D

I like to troll high end road bike boutiques with my bastardized sled and hipster swag. what does this mean
-
• #1668
oh, thats one of my guilty pleasures in regents park.
this, and a random skid when somebody is sucking your wheel for over a lap refusing to work with you.

I never really worry about this. Feel sorry for whoever's behind as they're clearly not training hard enough. Tried farting and saving tyres?

You sound weak man. Its all about no spandex and riding like the wind.

• #1672
it can be done
Walton's brake caliper on the back is strictly for show here. No lever/pads/cable should give that away...

..magnets?

Although I do remember Walt had this setup when he came to visit for the hunt crit last year...
He thought he might need the brake for London (his 1st time here) as he had heard the traffic was gnarly. He took the setup off after the 1st day.So drilling the rear bridge for a brake is possible.
Thanks. It did flex a bit.
But with the V-brake pads it had a decent amount of slowing speed. I set it up not to deliver full stopping ability, just slowing to prevent a forward roll over the handle bars.
