All the cheaper prices are sale prices for 2012 stock, even though its seemingly exactly the same frame it's back to RRP for the 2013 kit.

That's my guess or hipster tax.

Considering selling my baby soon, it breaks my heart but I have my eye on an Eddy Merckx roadie. If you're thinking of getting one though, I can highly recommend them, nice and stiff in the BB and silky smooth with decent components!

No need to drill, just push out the bung.

That look like pre 2009 Vigo in which case you can drill but difficult as steel stud in crown. Ignore if as described.
