  • toe overlap are normal.

if you complain about it, you're not going fast enough.

well yeah, that's the point. It only matters when turning corners or around obstacles so you won't be going fast.
Considering the Low is a "street track bike" it has fucking terrible toe overlap, nearly crank overlap, which isn't very nice when maneuvering around cars and shit. It just shows how it is style over substance.

  • Because of the epic length of my Fort, there is no toeverlap... it's actually a nice change (Argos got pretty bad since fitting raceblades)

Touring bike (especially in smaller sizes) have terrible toe overlaps with mudguard, i doubt it's really the style over substance's the problem, just track geo.

(I'm aware touring bike tend to be variable gears and freewheel compared to fixed).

  • It does make sense for this to become a Mash/Low/Kagero thread.

What about this Superb Sprint from the shop line of the Superb bike shop in Boston?

  • odd fork choice.

  • unless it's just trying to look like a cannondale tarck.

  • You're right, they're definitely trying to do a modern Cannondale track.
The only thing is, it's almost identical to the Pelizzoli Leggenda.

  • Boston people seem to be real good
    real good at copying things

  • what do the above cost?

do people really want old school forks on chunky alu frames... could look so much better.

  • especially as the fork aesthetic on the cannondale track is the least attractive part of the bike

i like the way Pelizzoli does not bother to copy the track ends from the 'Dale

  • What a shite name "superb" is

  • pelizzoli is something like 1,5k.

    superb something like 699dorra f&f + 100ish shipping + taxes

  • i thought pelizzoli is more like 650€ starting price!?

  • 1,500 would be absolutely ridiculous.

  • I'll stick with the Fort.... maybe even get it a fancy paint job (:

  • 650 for real? Oh, though they were more than thousand for sure as they are made in italy etc

  • The Pelizolli is about $1000 I think, so around £650. Maybe that's where the confusion comes from.

  • wasn't there a similar design except really cheap posted recently?

  • maybe these?

    or the suberb?

why everything is trying to copy from each other or from cdale track?

  • because there are very few creative / capable people left around?..

  • Just get a copy of Noca's...

  • Funny cars.

  • so I am getting more and more interesetd in the Look 464... the MAsh gets ripped to shreds by so many people saying you can get so much more for your money and it is is just an overpriced hipster ride. OK.

right now people are getting giddy over pistofski's look 464 and everyone loving it. (fare enough he is giving it away at 485 pound) its a lovely looking frame, it really is. but as far as i can see it is much the same as a mash or super pista (that kinda gets the same reaction as the mash) regarding spec although on an inferior alu tubing. or am i wrong?

    Look 464: 6061 Alu, frame 1600g fork 360g total: 1960g, rrp 734.99pound
Mash: columbus airplane , frame & fork total 2050g, rrp 720pound
bianchi SP: 7005 alu, frame 1760g fork 560g total 2320g, 750pound approx (although i have seen much lighter specs on websites

So i have just qouted it as being the lightest of these 3 (although i cant see the SP really being that heavy but thats what i found) but from the mash it is only 90g lighter and as expensive..

my question is does the mash really deserve the hate it gets or is it purely the 'Hipster' attachment it has that brings people to loath it?

i know i have only made a comparison to the look but its getting a lot of love when being sold on here at a cheap price whilst the mash would still get slated to fuck being sold at 485. it would sell but it would get hated too!

or is this just a totally pointless question?!

  • The Look frame is roughly 1000x cooler than a mash.

  • if you have to ask the question, you probably don't deserve it.
