At that angle to the sun the sky blue will be quite vertically polarized, while the surface will tend to reflect horizontally polarized light, so filter out the blue but leave the clouds. That's my guess anyway.

oh go on then... these are some i shot at London zoo- just after buying a 70-300 lens- gave me an excuse to go for an outing with my wee sister and snap some shots. - oh not the dog - he's a friends dog - shot in NYC...

fox cub in my garden five minutes ago. i had to tap gently on the window to make it look up slightly as it was nibbling on something attached to the piece of wood.
