  • did you take that pic??

Yep, it was a couple of years ago in lowland forests of the Choćo region in NW Ecuador. Nearly trod on it, then photographed it.
Someone pointed out it's got a good tattoo of a turtle on it's back.

  • chatters and steves those photos are gnarly, what did you use to take them?

  • This is the kestrel that lives on the allotments near me:

  • Found a whole hoard of frogs last weekend. We put them in a silver bowl with some water and watched them swim around for a bit then put them back. It made me feel like a kid again, twas excellent.

    I use a canon eos5d (mk1...REALLY want a mk2!) with 70-200 L lens @200mm/F2.8 ... I'm not a pro...just get to go to some cool places with the day job!

  • could've fooled me!

  • Four photos I took last weekend:

    A three day old Donkey

What looks like a walking photoshop

Four month old dog giving me a, "What the fuck are you doing now?" look

Same dog with her sister fighting over a dressing gown belt

  • Otters moving at the speed of light!

( not from the wild tho :( )

  • Off the coast of the Isle of Man last summer.

  • You didn't....did you? I've always wondered if that frog in boiling water thing was true or just a myth.

  • i like this one from wildlife photographer of the year

  • one of mine

  • I took this with an old wet-film compact camera then scanned the negative, so the colour is a bit odd.

Delicious, and really easy to prepare - it practically cooks itself...

(Actually it was a rescue mission - the pan was the best receptacle for getting it out of the swimming pool!)
