I was round at a friend's and they has this on. I was honestly surprised how squeamish they were seeing the broken ankle, as they were all so excited to watch two grown men beat the crap out of each other.

If Poirier wins the title from Olivera, Connor will be his first defence (if he can recover from the injury). Not that the ufc needs any excuse but they'll use the injury as every justification for it. Poirier will definitely want it as he'll make 10 times as much fighting Connor than anyone else and he'll be thinking it's easy money at this point.

I don't hate it tbh. Both not looking their sharpest, could be a great way for Tony to retire if he wins (although he strikes me as the kind of fighter that will not be keen to retire at all). Great payday for Tony too - I might not be a fan but the guy definitely deserves some dollars for the absolute wars he's been in.

I reckon McGregor takes it, but seems like it'd be a pretty competitive fight at least. All depends on Conor's recovery.

Yeah, as much as it shouldn't have happened, Saint Denis proved to be bloody tough. The ref was removed from his other assignments and will hopefully find a new job.

He was tough but just kept sustaining damage. He was clearly out on his feet a few times. Grim viewing.
