  • awesome!

  • Just got back from my MMA session. Had forgotten how exhausting it is being hit repeatedly in the head. Had to stop for a burrito on the way home to perk me up.

  • makes for an impressive gif
    (barboza vs etim)

  • Selling a few bits here- pads, mitts, guards if anyone is interested?

  • .

  • Toe my god

  • Toe my god

That was almost as horrible as the eye...

  • What's out there that's recognised as one of the best 'real world' martial arts? I have some boxing experience but no grappling or wrestling. Thanks.

  • ^ Thanks CB looks really interesting, how about something that combines striking with grappling / wrestling?

  • Bjj does combine. But if you're keen on mixed you could try vale tudo or mma schools but they will almost certainly train you in Bjj

If you're east London try London Fight Factory. West there is a shoot school... I can't remember it's name tho. Gracie schools are in London Centre and south west I think.

  • Cuddling behind, cupping and licking ears are not recognised submission holds, CB.

  • Did you know there's an MMA school just round the corner from Hither Green?

  • Really??? Where?

  • Just past the Co-Op

THey're not open weekends though, which is just dumb.

  • That is dumb....

  • Any pointers for south east London CB? Sort of Peckham / Camberwell / surrounding? Cheers!

  • Clever Pun should know as he both trains/trained in MMA and lives SE.

    He should see this shortly.

  • Great, might PM him, cheers!

  • speaking of MMA, i recently saw a YT vid about the quick and brutal techniques of the Japanese Police force.

Anyone know what im talking about?

  • found it!!

    I want to learn this...

Boring but i like the in and out, over before it started.

I did look this up a while back, but I'd forgotten and haven't looked since I fecked my foot (subsequently found it's a broken sesamoid fml)

I'll have another look, but my research was nearer croydon

  • There's Team Underground on the old kent road... Pretty south east.
Or I train at Diesel in Limehouse which isn't much further.

Boxing will get you out of trouble. You do not want to grapple or wrestle on the street.
