I find the news reports about things like that a bit ridiculous - it sounds as on finding one dog alive everybody should heave a sigh of relief and say - oh thats ok then. I just don't see it as the 'hopeful' news that the reports introduces it as.

How about a nice report about all the fantastic volunteers involved in the clean up and rescue operation. That is something that does show hope, that people are not all selfish.

(I'm not really a grumpy bitter person.......really I'm not. I'm feel genuinely happy for the dog)
