sputniks are stronger than the rhyno lites from what i've seen/heard, plus my mates old bmx rhyno lite rims were shit, and died within 2 months, thats enough to put me off buying them for any bike.....assuming these are the same kinda construction?

Those ain't Rhyno lites - they're NOS original Rhynos.

Are the Sputniks the ones 14 has with 48h? the same ones Gabes has in his bacj wheel?

i have a sputnik which i built for the dd, and am planning to rebuild for polo now that is done.
i can certify that they are shit strong but they weigh a tonne - sturmey archer hub + sputnik rim + randonneur tyre = over 2kg

also they have a really awesome braking surface which looks slightly holographic!

Not stricktly speaking true, they are weaker in the case direct impact but build into a more laterally and vertically compliant wheel.
