We have the tools as Sugino use same tools as Shimano we even have tools for three piece BB
The next workshop is next Tuesday
Have you removed the existing BB? This is usually the difficult part.

Hi Hackney Bike Workshop
Thanks in advance for your help with this - I'm looking to come this Tuesday, 1st but would you have the tools that fit this old style cup and axle bottom bracket?
Cheers.

Hi Adam,
Thanks for helping me fit those forks last time.
Fitting a new BB is next on the list. Just wondering, have you got a facing and/or taping tool?
Cheers,
Joe
-

Sorry Joe we haven't got a bottom bracket facing and tapping tool is there a special reason you would need one? I know on Cytec courses they get the trainee's to use them but that is for new bikes to clean the tread on the bottom bracket but on a used bike I can not see the need.

No probs Adam. I ask because I need to install a shimano external bearing jobby and I think it's recommended for these. I'll do some more investigating to see if I can get away without doing it.

Different schools of opinion (as always) on BB facing: http://www.mbr.co.uk/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=TECH&Number=29369&Searchpage=1&Main=29369&Words=+Blazo&topic=&Search=true
As my frame is pretty oldschool I'm tempted to do it.
