  • Can't believe I didn't think of Ghostbusters, go for that or Stripes!

  • All 6 Star Wars, in this order: 2,5,3,1,4,6

    Followed by Clerks.

  • I wouldn't say six years constitutes a ridiculously long war..

You would if you were fighting in it. Where were you and what were you doing six years ago?
GYAC, I don't want to know.

  • Platini you keep using this GYAC abbreviation, what does it mean?

  • And the war was even longer in Australia, or it was in the Sullivans, anyway.

  • Shaving Ryan's Privates.

    +1

    The Fast and the Curious
Willy Wanker and the Chocolate Factory
    Star Whores
    Pulp Friction
    40 Gays and 40 Bi's
    Shitty Shitty Gang Bang

You know Cocoon, how about Cocunt

  • no ones mentioned top gun.

i've loved you so long is excellent, so is tell no one.

family friend is good as is il divo by the same director.

anything early by goddard is a winner with the ladies.

the new woddy allen is entertaining.

  • I imagine Eyebrows is probably now about 1/4 of the way through Private Benjamin and occasionally wondering if there's still a load of people in cyberspace recommending him films to watch...

  • Platini you keep using this GYAC abbreviation, what does it mean?

Urban dictionary tells me: God you're a cunt or Give you a clue

I'm not entirely sure which one he meant but I wouldn't be surprised by either ;)

  • Platini you keep using this GYAC abbreviation, what does it mean?

In that case: Give You A Clue. In others coughs : God, You're A Cunt.
If only you could use the search, eh? This has come up before, a time or two...

  • bit of an overreaction if it's the former, not entirely fluid as a sentence if it's the latter.

edit: relieved that confirmation has come that in this case it was a non-fluid latter.

yeah it's one I've tried to find on those abbrev. threads but I've been danged if I've managed to find it.

I'm not really with it enough to remember stuff like Urban Dictionary, though I did know what a Guido was a long time ago.

    And tromboning.

  • I used google which took me to the urban dictionary ;)

I'm pretty glad Platini wasn't being over offensive with me, although on this forum you never know if it's just a strange expression of endearment..

  • nah Plats don't roll like dat. The strange term of endearment thing I mean.

  • Just wishful thinking on my part I suppose..

  • I did know what a Guido was a long time ago.

    Papist terrorist wasn't he?
GYAC: There is a thread for tromboning and other musical allusions...

  • I'm sensing you like the ambiguity of those initials...

  • Can't believe I didn't think of Ghostbusters, go for that or Stripes!

    Racing Stripes?
The story of a talking zebra who dreamed of being a racehorse.

  • no ones mentioned top gun.

i've loved you so long is excellent, so is tell no one.

family friend is good as is il divo by the same director.

anything early by goddard is a winner with the ladies.

the new woddy allen is entertaining.

+1 Not seen I've Loved You So Long but i'm a huge KST fan so will watch that sometime in the near future, if the new Woody Allen one you're talking about is Vicky Christina Barcelona I agree, it's a good watch.

  • Racing Stripes?
The story of a talking zebra who dreamed of being a racehorse.

I'll have you know I took that as a huge insult =P

Stripes is a Bill Murray film about him joining the army and going through boot camp, very good film, especially if you enjoyed Ghostbusters, Harold Ramis is also in Stripes.

  • I'm sensing you like the ambiguity of those initials...

I prefer to think of it as an acronym. Maybe even two acronyms.
Though far be it from me to teach anyone about grammar.
    GIAC

  • Acronym, riiiight. One of those occasions I couldn't be bothered to stop for the right word, I knew I didn't want to use abbrev. again..

  • +1 it's a good watch.

    Wrong thread.

  • "Dad, dad, I wanna watch!!"
"Well okay but shut up and sit by the window."

    Classic joke, lovely punchline.

  • Wrong thread.

In that case ignore all my previous posts, i'd say go for Fuji Neopan 1600, great black & white film, 35mm FTW!

Henry, I apologise if this is the beginning of this thread being completely derailled.

  • "Dad, dad, I wanna watch!!"
"Well okay but shut up and sit by the window."

    Classic joke, lovely punchline.

    Heard something similar:

The two lesbians next door got me a new Rolex for xmas, apparently they misunderstood me when I said "I wanna watch"
