Prior to doing the run, I think we should pop into any large shops nearby, explain our mission and see how charitable they are with their easter choc-stocks . . . probably yield nothing, but it's worth a go. More chocolate = more happy kids surely.

somehow the crash made the day even more enjoyable.. and Soul we were in awe of the Lindt standards of durability after fearfully opening our bags.
Even so I'm sitting here with a bag of peas on my very oddly-contoured lower leg, working out when I should admit I probably need to go and get it x-rayed....
great day's work Scott and Gina! hope your aches and pains aren't too bad Scott ..
full report of the day to follow soon...
oh dear, hope you guys are ok!

We're sorted for eggs, really...we know how many each place needs and we have extras too....so nobody will go empty handed. :)

Thanks for that.
At the risk of being too demanding, would it be possible to get an idea of the planned route? It's just that I've got to be back in Tooting by 2.00 to take my son to football... -

****MASSIVE UPDATE ALERT - MASSIVE UPDATE ALERT - MASSIVE UPDATE ALERT****
Okay guys we're ready. The eggs have been bought, carried, sat on by accident* and counted. All the hospitals and children's homes that we could find in London have been contacted and out of those all the hospitals and a couple of homes are delighted at the prospect of such a nice gesture. We will be delivering in the region of 250 chocolate eggs to ill kids along with 32 Lindt Bunnies (donated by Soul) and 80 chocolate nests (made by fitzy and her friend) for the staff working over the Easter period.
This afternoon me and Gina have sat down with the addresses and planned an effective route which falls in with the requirements of the various places. The important points from this are as follows:
1) The weather should be improving from 10am onwards (cautious yay + fingies crossed) but it will be windy
2) MEETING POINT FOR PEOPLE TO RIDE TO SCOTT'S APARTMENT WILL BE** THE FOUNDRY, OLD ST/ GT EASTERN ST E1, DEPARTING AT 9.45AM.**** WE THEN RIDE OVER TO HACKNEY WICK VIA EAST DRINKS, WHERE HILLBILLY WILL BE WAITING WITH ANYONE WHO HAS MISSED THIS UPDATE, TO START LOADING UP AROUND 10AM. Please bring your biggest bags, AS WELL AS YOUR USUAL PUNCTURE REPAIR KITS AND TOOLS ETC..**
3) At Scott's we will load up everyone with eggs... as there are quite a few people coming we should be taking about twenty eggs each - easy-peasy.
4) From there we will be riding to a drop-off point for 70 eggs which are due at The London Hospital later on in the day (we need to get them there for 5ish at the latest)
5) After that, we ride down over Blackfriar's Bridge and head for The Evelina department of St Thomas's, on Lambeth Palace Road. The route map will show you the rest of the ride, which has come in around 23 miles all in.
This is not a ride to push ourselves physically - we will be enjoying fairly leisurely riding and will always be carrying chocolate eggs so the pace will be nice and steady. There will be plenty of opportunity for a bite to eat and a drink. We will be trying to lighten everyone's load equally as we go along, so at each stop off two or three people's bags will be involved.
Okay here's the route:
All that remains is to say please do arrive at the Foundry to leave at 09.45am.. we need to get to Scott's in good time to get everyone packed up with the eggs, have a cuppa and have a quick chat about who's going to be dropping what off when..
If you need to meet us somewhere else, even if it's just over at Scott's for 10am (ie you know where he lives and live in Stratford or something), PLEASE LET US KNOW on the thread or by private message to me and Scott in very good time, IE BY MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. List below for The Foundry, 9.45am.
Thanks guys, it's been a fair old slog but we're ready for delivery day!
*that bit's not true, though some Lindt bunnies survived a bike-on-bike total stack

Sorry for being a bit quiet today folks....just been really busy....huge thanks to Phil and Gina for doing so much work on this ride!
@Phil...do we still need the other 36 eggs we mentioned as i haven't had a chance to go and get them yet?
You should look out for the next Lindt tv campaign... no child clutching the chocolate bunnie and no lindt chocolatiers just two men crashing their bikes into each other and being glad they can still eat their respective (intact) bunnies. Its a winner.
