Fitzy, by all means bake us some corn flake thingies as our own reward but I'm pretty much guaranteeing that we won't be able to bring anything to the kids that is not sealed by the manufacturer.
I'm on the calls but am having a ROUGH time b/c my Skype always acts up. If I can't get it to work on the next call I'll do about five of the homes from my cell but I have limited minutes.
I'm going to email Gina with which she thinks are the top priority to call but Scott or others please chime in if they have ideas.
I really want to be able to give the staff members something too, as they all do a great job looking after the children, so as i told fitzy, the cornflake cakes will be perfect for giving to the staff...i'm pretty sure they won't mind them being unsealed :)
Thanks to SOUL it looks like we should also have 30 Lindt bunnies to give to staff too.
Donations are getting better now....i just need a bank account to transfer the funds to so we can spend it....paypal screwed up my only bank account a while back so now i can't use it. -

yep, as soon as i saw that from jayloo, it made total sense for the wee ones...but if it looks like the kids are sorted for chocolate eggs and bunnies, i'll happily make treats for grown-ups..

I don't know much about these matters but paypal can be fuckers about suspecting you of money laundering and freezing/blocking accounts. I can't imagine it'd happen to you but you need to be aware as they do monitor accounts. Perhaps worth letting them know what you're using the account for?
http://www.paypalsucks.comIf they're happy its genuine they'll release the money but this can take ages so may scupper your plans.
I'd imagine its unlikely but perhaps worth considering.

we talked about it last night and we're working on loading up at Scott's or possibly mine from 10ish, aiming to roll out 10.30/11.
more details to come later, I'm finalising things with the few homes / hospitals left on the list, should be posting something up this afternoon.

Just wanted to say we don't need any more donations now....we have more than enough to cover the number of eggs we need.
Phil, Gina and myself just went out and picked up 174 eggs from various locations on our bikes :) (pics to follow)
Phil and myself are gonna go back out now and buy the rest of what we need. Thanks so much to everybody who donated for this...it's really appreciated.

Fresh, you still want to borrow my rack?

Oh. My. God. I have just realized that I double-booked myself Saturday morning and the earlier plans did not include a Bunny Run. I was really looking forward to this.
Has all prep been taken care of? I'm still available to help with any sort of back office work that may be needed.

How are we doing for cyclists? If it's a case of the more the merrier I'll turn up.

I've come to the conclusion that Lindt bunnies are made from some kind of space age super chocolate...they're definately stronger than both my wrist, and Phils ankle ;)
We now have 210 eggs and 32 bunnies...surprisingly all still in one piece!
Gonna buy a further 36 eggs and then we'll be done. Thanks again to everyone who donated...and huge thanks to Phil and Gina...couldn't have done it without you both.
Hope the ankle is ok Phil ;) -

Not another accident with the bunnies?

Ha! Amazing. Excellent work guys.

Fresh, you still want to borrow my rack?
I don't think I'll need it actually. Sounds like there's enough of us that we won't need to carry many each.

I'm so up for donning the ears to help deliver. My weekend plan is in a constant state of flux so I might be in Bath or I might be well up for helping out. Is there a definitive route yet? Did I miss it reading through?

Not another accident with the bunnies?
"He went that way...i went this way...then CRASHHHHH...two guys rolling on the floor in the middle of the road...half groaning, half laughing....cue swollen wristy bone...funny feeling collary bone...swollen ankly bone...VERY bent handly bar...and 32 completely intact bunnies" :)

Ha! They are indestructible... i feel sorry for the people who have to eat them now.

somehow the crash made the day even more enjoyable.. and Soul we were in awe of the Lindt standards of durability after fearfully opening our bags.
Even so I'm sitting here with a bag of peas on my very oddly-contoured lower leg, working out when I should admit I probably need to go and get it x-rayed....
great day's work Scott and Gina! hope your aches and pains aren't too bad Scott ..
full report of the day to follow soon...
