Summary?
A few hit apps have distorted the reality and most developers will make less than $1000 for an app that'll cost in the region of $35k to develop.
App stores are the current topic du jour but show all the signs of being a bubble which will burst.
SMS services remain the area where there's real money to be made and you can reach 100% of your market rather than 3%.

tossing a scrunched up bit of paper into a bin - now no longer a mundane everyday task, instead completely addictive thanks to the iphone

I prefer to throw my scrunched up bits of paper at workmates.. it's far more satisfying than clicking about on a phone.

Consumer Reports, the much respected independent consumer group tested the iPhone4, and this is it. Its really damning.
We did, however, find an affordable solution for suffering iPhone 4 users: Cover the antenna gap with a piece of duct tape or another thick, non-conductive material. It may not be pretty, but it works. We also expect that using a case would remedy the problem. We'll test a few cases this week and report back.

probably time to buy some shares in apple then. :-)
will it really stop people buying the new i-phone? i very much doubt it.
if i was ready to upgrade it wouldn't stop me as it would be going straight in one of those silicone/rubber cases anyway. -

as for your finance chart hippy change it to 1year to date and click all the microsoft/nokia/dell/google boxes along the top of the chart for a more balanced view of the share price. :-)

I don't know how to do that. It's too complicated.
I prefer cold harddrugscash as an investment anyway. -

pre-iClone?
That's what I was thinking, also that and a combination of a smaller market share.
Well done.
