Why would it have to be an iPhone?
As its what the app I have developed is for, and would like to try it (beta testing) before sticking it to apple beta testing.

Have you tested on the emulator? If you're developing for iPhone surely you should own one for maintenance, bug fixing, etc. in the future?

used map my ride and runkeeper but they do drain the battery.
been using everytrail recently with much better results, it's less battery hungry and i have just discovered that i can download gpx files from bikely (and i guess other sites) upload them to the everytrail site and then view them on my phone. this is a WIN of significant proportions.
it even has a button to 'navigate to start of ride' so it will get you to the start of the route, not in a turn by turn way but at least you can quickly see where you are on a map compared to the gpx route. -

i might try this cyclemeter thing.
i have finally joined the 21st century and got an iPhone.
the battery is very weak, but the 'I AM T-PAIN' app is keeping me very entertained. ;)anyone have one of the iPhone mounts? they worth it? I'm wary of having my iPhone on display like that - its worth more than my bike!

any of you clever bods able to duplicate the photo library on the iphone?
-
• #574
can you still get to it by going to camera and tapping the photo in the corner?
-
• #575
yup, but it's a pain in the arse.
i used the (free) imapmyride app for a few days, but quickly upgraded to the (paid) Cyclemeter app for timing and racing my commute to/from work. Cyclemeter has a far better interface and properties, and doesn't require any logging in to a website. Worth the £3 i reckon. Battery drain is a bit of a problem though.
