  • I think you missed the point.

  • retro is the way ;p

For a man who loves Apple Pie you do hate Apple

  • I like paying out Apple more than I dislike them. My first computer was a Mac and I thrashed the shit out of that for 6 years.. so I've probably used Apple products longer than a lot of the current wave of fans. I'd use one now if someone else paid for it. :)

  • So is the PC I bought off VB and the Nexus One that I'm waiting to see how they price in the UK and the repairs to the Samsung :)

If you buy it new you can write it off after 3 years. If you want a MAC my son can get a discount off about 14% as he is a student but you'll have to wait until he is back from Vienna, maybe Easter.

  • I think that 3 year thing is just for PAYE isn't it? It's ok, I don't want a mac anyway. If it was free I'd take it is all I'm saying.

  • Your rides will need to be very short, or you will need to ride very fast.

  • Does anyone know of any iphone apps that can be used to plan routes for cycling? I'm looking for something that can be used to plan a route prior to going out riding and then provide live mapping once en route.

I know I could use the normal map app that comes on the iphone but as far as i can tell there it does not have the ability to easily set a custom route...

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

  • There's a thread for this somewhere, but imapmyride might be what you're after - sucks battery though.

    Edit: here it is https://www.lfgss.com/thread20878.html

Do a search for GPS, loads of threads.

  • I suggest you stop creating new threads golgol.

  • woah, thread merge before my very eyes!

  • Aren't they just about mapping rather than planning?

I'd love a planner given my new temporary commute is heinous.
Google maps will have a 'cycling' facility soon, but an app would be very handy.
HATE my commute at the mo. :(

  • Apologies....

As Wicksie points out most apps out there are for mapping routes that are in progress (imapmyride) rather than planning a route prior to going for a ride. My sense of direction is fairly useless so when I go for a ride it would be great to have something planned out beforehand.
