  • Cheers 'andrea' they sound interesting have to give them a go !

  • "0870" is horribly useful, it looks up the real number behind almost any 0800, 0845, or 0870 number you dial to stop you having to pay any extra for the call.

and it's free to download. hella useful

  • Cheers Zane another must have, free too bonus !!

  • Checkout Fixed, shows random bike pics from fixedgeargalley.com

And Fixed Gear Junkie, pulls feeds from trackosaurausrex, prolly, cycling wmd etc.

And Bicycle Gear Calculator helps you calculate various bike numbers, like gear ratio, skid patches etc.

And I use Strands for tracking my runs and rides. It uses GPS though, so you won't be able to track your rides until you get your 3GS (or a 3G).

Then there's stuff like Facebook, Tweetie, Documents to Go, Spotify, Google, NewsStand (google reader app), Sky Sports, FFM 09/10 (fantasy football), and Remember the Milk (task management). All cool apps.

  • How do you know someone has an iphone?

    They show it to you..

absolutely perfect. i'm certainly guilty in a way. whip it out for everything. the minute someone says, "where's the turn?' I'm racing to load maps. since the fucking thing take 15 seconds to fully load, someone usually says, "shit we've missed the turn", by that point I'm all like "ok everyone remain calm. go straight to the text signal and then turn left. we can get there that way"

  • I'll admit, that I don't like being tied to a software company, like Apple, or Microsoft, or even Google, but its the games on the iPhone that really have me considering one.

    Grand Theft Auto

    Super Monkeyball

    FIFA10

    Need For Speed

    Tiger Woods

  • anyone successfully repaired a cracked 2g screen? web tells me it is fiddly and has 50/50 chance of bricking it.

  • Now you need never miss Come Dine With Me

TV coming straight to your iPhone

    tvcatchup.com

  • How do you know someone has an iphone?

    They show it to you..

How do you know if someone doesn't have an iPhone?

They ask to play with yours.

  • No they don't.

  • I have tones of apps only ever use
    Google app
    Style.com
    Pandora
    The Weather Chanel
    Tweet Deck

My freind just blogged about some app that plants trees, looks good, if that is your thing. http://gretaguide.com/post/212068082/the-app-before-all-apps

  • As for games, loving Minigore at the moment

    and Vans Pool Service rocks!

  • No they don't.

    Oh yes they do!

  • Oh no they don't.

  • It's behind you!! :)

  • Now, where can I get that Dahon iPhone mount to attach it to the stem and the charger? Are they on sale already?

  • I want to jail break an iphone 3G/3Gs to retain my vodafone contract.
The only reason for getting one is because I've heard you can do FULL 2 way sync with google calendar (i.e. I put an entry on my phone and it appears on online and vice versa).

    Your experiencies?

I can unlock it for ya, no problem.

  • Who's jailbreaked/broken their iphone?
I have a 3gs and was wondering if it was worth doing and what issues come with it.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but has anyone seen the Vehicle Registration app which gives details when you type in a reg number.
    Could be useful...

  • I only unlocked the 3G (with yellowsn0w and now with redsn0w for Hassan), because I was using it with T-mobile and wanted few apps like video camera and modem - now part of the new firmware for 3Gs anyway. No issues whatsoever, everything was OK.

Keep an eye on this one:

  • My iphone is jailbroken. Free apps is somewhat handy ;)

I'm loving the amateur surgeon game at the moment.

  • Is there a similar thread for android apps? just hooked up a HTC hero

  • I know there are a few fellow creatives on here, have any of you designed an App for the touch/iPhone?

I have proposed this solution for a pitch we are going to be involved in, and the pitch partner has asked for a budget proposal, thing is, never done one and wondered what sort of design time (not developer build) these things take? It will not be a massive app, probably broken down into 4 sections.

Anyone got the knowledge I need? Much appreciated.

  • Don't think the process would be too different from designing a website. I'd probably spend quite some time wireframing though to make sure things work properly. Then to make it look pretty, a nice blend of the iphone UI and the brand stuff which shouldn't take too long. Don't see any reason to re-invent the wheel here, copying the iphone UI look is a good idea imo.

I've got some psd's and stuff with the iphone UI if you want?

  • You a well versed software programmer? Apparently even for one of those (my brother is) it's still pretty hard.
