  • that 4.1 software update have a nice little HDR option;

  • Working shutters? nice.

  • The whole flat is one big pinhole camera

  • Well-worn copy of Bioshock 2 noted.

  • Working shutters? nice.

not really, some are missing and they're hanging by a thread.

    Crispin, well noted.

  • thanks for letting know, didn't know there was an update...

  • thats handy indeed Ed, they should've done it 3 weeks ago before I went to Poland for holiday, at that time I had to do it all manually (did take few pictures handheld with different exposures and merged them with Photomatix Pro) and the worst thing is that it didn't work, I only managed one picture that way and even though its not perfectly done, some artifacts visible:

Uh? You took that photo on an iPhone?

where is this HDR option in 4.1? or is it only available on the iPhone 4.

Yep, took 3 different exposures and then did a hdr on the comp.

Not sure, I've asked my brother (who's got Iphone 3GS) about that the other day and he didn't reply to me since... :

  • :-D

  • "Post Office queues eh? What are they all about??"

Might be useful if you insist on cycling whilst listening to music...

  • still obsessed with orbital (gravity mode) on the iphone.

had a pretty stressy morning at work and repaired to trap 2 in the gents for a therapeutic orbital sesh before lunch. bested my previous high score with a leg-numbing 61. when i finally stood up the pins and needles were so bad i had to hang on to the bogroll dispenser to avoid collapsing on the floor.

  • Cyclestreets App for Iphone now out

    http://www.cyclestreets.net/mobile/

    pines for android version

    :)

    Nice.

I'm loving GeoDefense and GeoDefense Swarm at the moment..

  • the routeplanners are all very well and good but I want something that has turn-by-turn and naming of the streets in audio, so I can whack an earphone in and pootle across town.

  • I bet that will come... might not be free though.

  • DigiDrummer is changing my life right now. For the better.

    tell me more.

i bought 4 track but haven't really used it yet.

  • It's awesome.
And there's a free version with most features of the paid for (£1.19)
There are dozens of different drum sets. Eight pads per set. ranging from beat boxing, and steel drums to classic sets. You can customize your own set.
There are plug-ins to get more sounds (somehow - havent figured it out yet) and if you plug it into your computer with a phono cable you effectively have a very cheap yet surprisingly effective drum machine.

It can also record one layer and playback.

    I likey.

So far though, I've mainly used it for giving a drum-roll after un-funny lines in the office.

eeexcellent. thanks man. i'll give it a go. i've got funkbox and i808 but haven't been that excited by either of them to be honest. i'm kind of spoiled by having a few real life cheesy drum machines kicking round i suppose.

  • In fairness, I haven't tried the others so can't compare, but while it's no Electribe, it's pretty cool.
Maybe it rates against an SR-18 :)

    1. HeyWire - I'm using it right now to text for free from abroad! Brilliant app - saved myself quite few quid already.

    2. Flipboard - change the way I use the social networks. Get it if you're not a school kid and need more then few lolz with bredrens.

    3. Sorted - good for simple to do lists.

    4. Blue Block and Hero HD - my fave games on iPad at the moment. Super Lazer on IPhone, but also can do stretched.

    5. Drawing Pad - for my daughter to occupy her during the flights.

    6. Did I mention Zumo Cast to play my song/videos while 1000 miles away from my deskto? Bloody handy stuff.

    7. Air Display - to move Photoshop palettes and menus on my IPad while using MacBook to save the space. In theory I can use stylus to retouch faces while benefiting from the iPad's touchscreen, but it's bit slow and pixelated when you move the photo around the screen.
