  • I agree The Fall is great, but it is so dark; the most disturbing drama i've seen in a long time. I find it really uncomfortable to watch. Kind of feel glad that the writer(s?) and director are getting this out of their system by just making drama about it...

  • ^ Yeh, I'm surprised that BBC has made something so uncompromising. Yesterday's episode was pretty brutal watching at points.

  • 'Uncompromising' yes, but i don't think brutal quite captures it. It's beautiful in a way that leaves me shuddering and queasy, sick with the waste and damage, and wanting to turn myself in for having watched it.

  • Just watched the 4 episodes of "the fall" back to back on the recommendations from this thread. Its bloody intense and seriously dark, I don't think there has been a single happy moment in the entire 4hrs, absolutely incredible so far, sleep is going to be difficult tonight.

  • The Fall is great. Its superb how it portrays the nonchalance of psychopathy. Like when Spector's boss is all serious and in full on reprimand mode and he just takes the opportunity to have a quick slide down the bannister.
Also I thought Roose Bolton did the right thing by eating his own pistol. The rotter.

  • cant wait for apprentice tonight

  • Something wrong with you J

  • I use a media center and use UseNet software to automatically download all movies and series (legal in my country). I've been doing this for years. When I moved out of my parents house, I got a 120mbit internet connection over cable. Digital TV is included with that. Because the coax cable used for the decoder was too short, I didn't install that. I didn't want to go to the store to buy a cable. Because I have a media center, I don't even miss it. I don't see any commercials, reality shows etc. My HTPC software can display Al Jazeera by direct streaming so I can even watch the news if something important happens. I have been living in this house for about 3 years now and I don't feel like I'm missing anything at all.

I only hate it that the best TV shows are always getting canceled
Chuck, The Cleveland Show, Futurama, Person of Interest...

    I currently follow these shows:
    American Dad!
    Anger management
    The Big Bang Theory
    CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
    Criminal Minds
    Dexter
    Family Guy
    Fast N' Loud
    How I Met Your Mother
    Mike & Molly
    Mythbusters
    NCIS
    NCIS: Los Angeles
    The Simpsons
    Sons of Anarchy
    South Park
    Top Gear

I just added The Fall, never heard of that one. In September Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to start. I'm really looking forward to that.

  • ^ I can happily inform you that 'Person of Interest' has been renewed for season 3

  • Oh really???? That is awesome! I really love that show.

  • Got Catfish: The TV Show on express link, totally cynical formulaic MTV nonsense but fascinating nonetheless, especially the big reveal

  • revisiting Teachers.
    soundtrack is awesome.

  • Is anyone else watching The Returned?

  • yes! enjoying it so far - quite confusing in places - nice pace - reminds me of Let the right one in a little - the Swedish vampire flick

  • Been sky+ing it, not watched it yet.

DL'd The Fall (with x files in it) do not like.

  • ^ Any particular reason?

  • Just finished watching Game of Thrones Season 3 last night. Episode 9 :-(

Now I know why the internet and twitter was exploding 3 weeks back. A bit disapoint.

  • Need to finish Hannibal next. Like the look of the 'The Fall' will check out the pilot this week at some point.

  • yes! enjoying it so far - quite confusing in places - nice pace - reminds me of Let the right one in a little - the Swedish vampire flick

I've just downloaded the entire season as it's already aired in France. I coulnd't resist.

  • Extremely well made documentary about the discovery of oil in Ghana. Inevitably dispiriting, though

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b033v5xz/Storyville_20132014_Power_Money_Greed_and_Oil/

    available till next Monday.

  • Anyone been watching luther?

  • man crush.

  • Great program that.

  • Haven't watched any of it, although I think it's on netflix now so I may have to.

Glad that Breaking Bad is starting again soon - it'll be the first time for a long while that I've waited a week to watch an episode - I can't wait.
