  • Maybe it was badly written then but I thought the acting in general was pretty mediocre with Reacher about the worst of the gang. That said, I watched the whole thing so it’s not like it was that bad.

  • I think he would make a great Terminator.

  • Watched the Reacher TV series over the last couple of days

Did it in one long session, kept me there, even though I've read the book. Good as a time waster.

  • enjoyed reacher. I like the guy who played him but there's a hard-limit to what he can express with his face when acting, numerous times when he is meant to be doing some imposing glower at a bad guy but just kind of stands there and looks like his brain might have turned off as the light in his eyes just goes dim until the other actor does the expected reaction.

  • The Terminator!

  • I'm watching him now, can't stop thinking about the lovable idiot throwing me around the bedroom and giving me the best hug afterwards.

  • Watched the first episode of The Curse last night, thoroughly enjoyed. Dunno if I want to go through in one sitting or spread it all out

  • The Puppet Master on Netflix is great fun true-crimey WTF fodder. An enjoyable 3 hours.

  • Disappointed that the Toast of Tinseltown finale didn't link up with the Boba Fett thing on Disney+

  • Quite enjoying the first couple of eps of Yellowjackets. Looks like it'll get pretty dark.

  • He is in the new star wars mooovaaae, except it's a series, I was hoping there'd be a bit of a nod to it too

  • So good!!

My only gripe is I have no fucking clue what Tom Davis is saying half the time and there's no subtitles on All4 when casting to a Chromecast.

  • University Challenge is being rendered unwatchable by Paxman's drunken slurring.

  • He has Parkinson's disease.

  • Reacher went downhill pretty quickly for me the second half felt like a drawn out episode of Knight Rider.

Amazon should cancel this and bring back Patriot.

  • 1st episode shows promise. Bit confused by them drinking lager out of trad pint pots though. It's the 80's, definitely straight glasses for lager back then

  • Oh, well I’m a cunt then.

  • Reacher started well but yeah, knight rider and it’s got that shitty Amazon production values vibe.

  • Think you have summed it up.

    Now which knight rider ;)

  • Quoting will does that.

To come across as a cunt, he has just been diagnosed so shouldn't be slurring yet. Unless Paxman is far more along, or the stress of the show is aggravating the condition.

  • Reacher, he is 6'5" and everyone in the show is reacting like he is 9'5"

    It's a little distracting.

People rarely react to my height, do you, fair reader, stop and stare at people nudging 2m tall?

  • He reminds me of Steven Gerrard if he'd grown up on an American diet rather than a Liverpudlian. I spent last night enjoying the curse anyway so will get back round to reacher another day, whole thing seems like an 80/90s cop show though, Due South or similar.

The Guardian review made the same point...

  • Is not that he is also 6'5 " of muscly width too?

    *Not suggesting that you're not...

  • Compared to Tom Cruise?
