Not seen Yellowstone, but the first episodes of 1883 are superb. Sam Elliot might be the greatest cowboy actor ever.

Solar Opposites is my new favourite.

It's good. Also enjoyed super crooks on Netflix which is anime based in the same world as Jupiter's legacy and the first 3 episodes of the legend of Vox Machina, which is like an adult D&D cartoon based on D&D stuff that's too nerdy for me.

I would read the books. Much more fleshed out characters and a better story about the Mars renegades who when through the Ring.
Takes a while though.

Yes, finished the series the other night. I really enjoyed it. Reminded me of the film 'Good Time' with Robert Pattinson. The sense of unease/ lose of control, soundtrack, drone shots. Spent the first 5 mins thinking that's Martin Freeman doing a great turn, plus a few very well observed bits of scripting.
Would definitely recommend. -

The Woman in the house across the street from the girl in the window
Clunky title.
Black comedy, mystery thriller type nonsense.
Only half an hour episodes and only 8 of them (3 down in this house)Alcoholic, grieving woman witnesses a murder, has a history of hallucinations, no one believes her so she investigates it herself.

It's a parody...isn't it?
-

Sort of.
It's not "scary movie" levels, more subtle.
(Subtle might be giving it a bit of credit, it is shovelling in every trope it can find) -

It starts strong, you're not quite sure what's real and not with her drinking & pills, and the start of the exploration of her grief is ok. But the crimey twists get a bit silly around E06 mark. We'll finish it and I hope it gets better again but it seems to have lost itself around the midpoint.

It doesn't I'm afraid... Last episode is total jokes.
Still I didn't mind it as a bit of fun.
I've also finishes Harlen Cobens The Stranger, and would say it's the best of the 3. Paul Kaye in good creepy form.

Has wolf like me been mentioned?

I recommended it to a mate as having potential after first episode. apologised for potentially wasting his time in case he had starting watching it by last episode.

The startup on Netflix doesn't seem to be talked about much at all. My brother in law mentioned it and I hadn't heard of it and I don't think I know anyone else who's seen it.
I wouldn't say it's amazing TV, some of it isn't very believable, but it's certainly entertaining.
About to finish the first series and there's 2 more.I find TV shows where the story can be chalked up to "that was lucky" or very convenient things happen a bit irritating. Not that I only enjoy 100% realism, but if your whole plot is based on convenient event after lucky escape after convenient event then I think it starts to get a bit OTT. I wouldn't say The Startup is completely like that, just a couple more plotlines that are solved using fortuitous events than I'd want for it to be classed as excellently written.

Watched all of the episodes and found it fun. But seemed like it fed a story line for series 2.

New season Raised by Wolves
Did you watch? Any good?
-
• #7470
I did, first two episodes available. I like it but I'm very easy to please. Pretty cgi alien landscapes and I'm happy (they moved to tropical area) new social surroundings (atheists) new challenges

Oh shit I really enjoyed raised by wolves series 1. Wife got quite annoyed by it.

Watched the first couple of Peacemaker and quite enjoyed it. Not quite what I expected after the movie but that's not a bad thing

Watched the first couple (Herbert Clunkerdunk) of the new series. It's the kind of bollocks I was really into about 15-20 years ago. Puerile, surreal, nonsensical bullshit. Liking it just as much now.

Watched the Reacher TV series over the last couple of days. The main actor (visually) is better than Tom Cruise but a terrible actor. If you switch your brain off, it's okay.

I thought he is great in the role. Voice reminds me a bit of Clint Eastwood.
One thing that annoys me a bit is that it's another series shot on awful lenses. It's like
watching a test chart for lens aberrations.
Anyone mentioned yellowstone or the prequel 1883?
Watched the first two episodes of yellowstone and, at an hour and half and then an hour, the show seems to have so much set up I can't get what is going on.
Anyone watched the new fraggle rock reboot? Or the animaniacs new stuff?
