  • Don’t know if anyone’s still got their free Apple TV subscription but Ted Lasso is genuinely good.

Trailer is awful but stick with it.

  • It's available to purchase elsewhere and is one of my favourite shows I've watched recently.

  • Agreed. Really wasn’t expecting much but it’s really great. To be expected from Bret Goldstein tbh

  • Brave New World gets better after E3. The first two episodes set up the book Diverges after that.

  • Really havnt been sure what to expect from it. Wanted to give it a go, but the trailers really do make it look like a frigid turd.

  • It gets better in my opinion.

  • haunting of bly manor. what a lot of pish

should have been 3 episodes, not 8

  • Gasp, how can you say that? like the annoying little girl says non fucking stop it's perfectly splendid *rage*

In other news, shows actually worth watching, first few episodes of NeXT seem to be doing ok, Killer AI on the loose, Deadly Alexa, those creepy dog robots from the interwebs etc black mirror meets american fbi crime drama but nothing that wouldn't be out of place in real life sometime between now and the end of 2020.

  • Very late to the game but I'm currently watching Misfits, it's actually really good and I'm not sure how I've avoided it for so long.

  • Ha - snap!

Season 2 is a bit rubbish after a while though - I stopped halfway through episode 4 this evening

  • It was 9 I believe, but yeah way too long

  • Has anybody watched the Braindead series from 2016? It's pretty good and the only plausible
explanation I have seen so far of what has been going on in politics.

  • Most recent Fargo is going well.

  • Is it on TV in the UK?

  • I've been purchasing it online.

  • Just got the new Chromecast and weirdly it shows up on there on Netflix with release dates per episode but is locked, guess you could VPN it.

  • Yeah that's an excellent show.

However, the new walking dead show on prime is absolute drivel. How does stuff like that get completed without people realising how naff it is.

  • Anyone watched Snowfall? FX show on iplayer about the crack epidemic. Sort of the real Rick Ross serialised.

Started looking at iplayer again as we're really struggling with Netflix. Sort of wondering about calling time on it as it seems to be all the same and nothing ever appeals.

Same. Even finding more on Prime just now, which is pretty amazing as Prime is awful

  • I know.

Also how the fuck can someone the size of amazon have such shit functionality.

  • Stick around on Netflix a little bit longer, Calm With Horses is coming soon

  • prime video has always pissed me off as an offering. mostly because what was lovefilm originally cost about £40 a year for the basic package. then they rolled it into the prime subscription, put the price up by £40 and tried to tell me I was getting it for free out of the kindness of their own hearts rather than being forced to buy it or lose my other prime benefits.

and their insistence on trying to be both a subscription based platform and a platform that rents/sells content making neither of the options appealing which forces them to hamstring functionality in the name of trying to force people into unnecessary purchases.

even with prime I still download most of the shows over usenet and watch them through my media setup instead just to avoid that shitshow of an app.

I cant imagine how annoying it must be to have kids using prime on the family telly where there's a risk they might buy a fucking box set of some show that aired 10 years ago and you have to remortgage to pay for it.

  • Also how the fuck can someone the size of amazon have such shit functionality.

    good question

  • Ha! I have always wondered why the prime app is so rubbish, it always recommends I might like things that I have recently watched

  • it always recommends I might like things that I have recently watched

Totally this, glad it's not just me that finds this infuriating
