  • I gave up with Ozark mid series two but I’m now hearing that series three is very good.

    Can anybody verify please?

  • Series 3 was fantastic imo

  • Been watching the 'Last Dance' the Jordan documentary on Netflix which is pretty good

  • Three is very good

  • I really enjoyed S1 of Race Around the World, so much so that we incorporated it into our lockdown home school geography lessons. I thought S2 not quite as good, probably because I'm not so familiar with the countries but also I found the contestants not as interesting. Biggest change though was that standard reality show trait of defaulting to repeating info about their back stories, particularly the dull one about some sort of fallout (never fully explained) between possibly the dopiest person ever to scale Everest and his cousin.

  • Ha.
Kind of agree and seems that South America just had more pinch points transport wise so they landed up bunching together in the endless race for the next over night bus.

I thought the fallout was explained that the family told him he has to have an arranged marriage and he refused so they all turned their back on him for over a decade and no one ever told the nephew that was the reason he had a uncle he couldn't no.

  • Hunters - good so far (3 episodes), but an odd mix of styles. Like Schindler's List but directed by Tarantino.

  • Ah OK, missed that one then. Never mind, its planned for geography this week!

  • Tales from the Tour Bus just started on Sky Comedy as I type. Tonight’s episode is one of the best.

  • Nora from queens.

very sweet if a bit tropey.

  • The Joy of Painting, with Bob Ross
    Zen TV at its finest.
    7pm on BBC4.

  • Took me a while to get over the whole "I'll put my name in the title" which usually means it's pedestrian shite of the boringest order (see "Harlan Coben's Safe" or anything Tom Clancy) and give it a go.

It definitely grew on me as it went along, but it's still not amazeballs.

  • apparently the getting on a bus to Atlantic City, eating lunch you brought with you in the food court while watching soaps and cashing in the vouchers when it's time to go home is totally a thing.

can't fault the logic to be fair.

  • Half way through the first Brassic of season two and it's already mint, everytime I see Joe Gilgun I fall ever deeper in love.

  • Fuck me, episode two is head and shoulders above owt else.

  • Homeland season 8 was underwhelming, luckily for me though starting Ozark from season 1 now

  • Our daughter recommended Ozark to us, and we’re really into it now after only 3 episodes.

Slightly difficult to see how it will be sustained over multiple series though.

  • The last series is probably one of the fastest things we've ever watched.

No spoiler, but the end is pretty dramatic and we both immediately went to watch the next only to be disappointed to realize we'd have to wait.

  • Oh it's good, really good!

Can't say the same for 'Normal People' though - load of shit. You do get the sight of some flacid willy though!

  • I think all been recommended on here before, but currently on a great run of telly, can thoroughly commend the leftovers (it's not great art, but I did think it was great entertainment), succession (actually great art, proper tragi-comedy), the watchmen (wonderfully weird, very cleverly written, I came to it with no knowledge - beyond a slight cultural awareness from playing superhero top trumps as a kid - and was utterly drawn in and entertained) and now last dance - ludicrously entertaining (journalistically flawed, but idc) insight and access into Michael Jordan.

Also halfway through Devs and - whilst it's pretty ridiculous - am enjoying. The characters are compelling and it's surprisingly beautifully shot.

  • PEN15 is great and gets better as it goes along.

  • Thanks for making me aware this existed. had no idea. Am a huge Joe Gilgun fan, he plays the same character all the time but it's such a great character I don't care. he was standout in preacher and misfits. some surprisingly well known faces in brassic too. up t o S1Ep3 so far and loving it.

  • The whole of series 2 was wonderful, and obviously season 1 before that. He had a lot of input in creating this, I remember his distraction pieces podcast chat before the first series being really good. I only realised it was a thing because I was convinced I saw him dressed up as a scally walking round Manchester whilst I was mid preacher and looked into what he was up to. Loads of it is filmed round my way and was fun recognising some of the spots, the pub interior is the Star & Garter near Piccadilly Station, which is a top place.

  • Yes thanks, put me on to it too, we hadn’t bothered before as the trailers looked shit. Really enjoying it.!
