  • The Gallagher brothers are not in the least bit funny. A while ago quite by chance my parents and I ran into Dustin Hoffman in an overpriced Kensington supermarket, at the cheese aisle. We couldn't believe it. He couldn't have been nicer; gave my mum a hug, talked for a good few minutes, happy, smiley genuine man. Funny too.

Minutes later, we run into Noel Gallagher. Scowling, giving it The Big I Am, sunglasses on indoors, being a div, wrapped in an imaginary, self-promoting layer of wop. If only he knew. Their music is shit, and so are they.

  • Wibbling Rivalry is funny, unintentionally, intentionally, whatever, funny

  • amazing human being, just a shame he spent most of his short life being taken advantage of.

Are we talking about damo again?

  • Has anyone seen The Killing that BBC4 showed a while back? Just watched the first four episodes this week and I'm utterly hooked. Best thing I've seen since The Wire.

  • It's good....keep watching...

  • You mean forbrydelsen ?

I watched it on Iplayer when it came out. Quite simply the best thing I have ever watched on "TV". I loved it.

  • That's the one. Get you and your Dansk language skills.

  • You will find out that some of their words and indeed, phrases, sound phonetically very similar to ours.

  • Are we talking about damo again?

hah! did a lol while a particularly solemn moment in saving private ryan was on in the background.

i am now a nazi symapthiser.

    probably.

  • Angry Boys on BBC3 now. Fucking Aussies.

  • Did anyone else watch this? 'Poor Kids' which I think was aired sometime earlier this week. It was pretty depressing at times but there was this little Glaswegian girl who was a bit of a ray of hope.

  • The Killing is awesome. When I finished watching it I was bereft. It's that good.

  • Incidentally, Game of Thrones binge starts tonight at 7pm sharp. Can't wait.

How did you find it? knocked out 5 episdoes in the weekend when I had the house to myself haven't had the chance to watch more.
I'm not really one for medievil time period things but this got me hooked I think the things like the joisting incident hooked me where it's wow never seen that before.

  • wait til you see the tongue incident... jayzuz.

  • ^^^ Is the Killing on again, or are you watching DVD? Missed it before and now want to jump on the bandwagon.

  • I'm watching it on DVD.

  • Ta, Andy.

    Will have to get that.

  • I just finished the Beeb documentary, All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace, for the third time in two days.

    It's very good.

  • The last episode of the Shadow Line was on last night.

    Incredible...

Not sure how they could do it but a second series has to happen.

  • Does anyone have one of the new Virgin Tivo boxes?

    http://tivo.virginmedia.com/

I could just have a permanent search for "cycling" right? And it's 1TB versus 160gb or whatever the stock V+ box is. #want

  • The Killing is awesome. When I finished watching it I was bereft. It's that good.
