  • Anyone watched Godless on Netflix? Finished it the other day - really excellent all round. Jeff Daniels, Jack O'Connell particularly good. Bummed out that it's a limited series.

  • Yeah, I really enjoyed it.

If you’re after more Wild West action Deadwood is very good - if you haven’t watched it already.

  • Ill check it out, ta. Love a good western.

  • thoroughly enjoyed Black Mirror S4

Inside No9 is brilliant, agree on that

  • not a western fan generally but Godless was good.

enjoyed 'the end of the fucking world' but ending was a bit meh

black mirror s4 was probably least enjoyable so far as a whole.

the netflix original 'devilman' anime series that they are is pushing super hard right now is fucking ridiculous. veers straight into tentacle porn type territory almost immediately. super glad that's now in my viewing history.

inside no. 9 is masterful but latest one isn't one of my favourites.

  • Everything's gone a bit soft. First episode of new Inside No9, while a delight, it was just a bit too cutesy for me, but I do know they like to experiment (like the one shot episode) so I'll allow it until I see more, and new Black Mirror definitely isn't "dark" enough. I'm hoping episodes 4, 5, and 6 are better than 1, 2, and 3 were.

  • Watched the first 2 last night, looking forward to more later.

  • the silent burglars episode was spectacular.

  • That's up there for me with the best they've done.

The one with Sheridan Smith was really excellent too - had some dust in the eyes towards the end.

  • aint got that far. is it on iplayer i wonder? i've been purchasing them.

  • First two seasons are on Netflix and the third is currently on iPlayer - 4th is just airing now.

  • The one with the shoe, absolutely brilliant. Seemed slow throughout and toward the end you wonder where this is all going. Then the ending left me swearing at the sick bastards. Wonderful ride.

  • The one with paying the bill was so well written.

  • Watched that yesterday - Brutal.

  • Treme is fantastic, it just moves slowly - a bit like the city it's shot in. Great music, great characters, big issues.

  • enjoyed 'the end of the fucking world' but ending was a bit meh

A load of that was filmed in our place.

  • do you live in the murder house?

  • fuck me, nice! spent the whole time thinking "how can that bloke afford a cracking place like that on a basic writer's income". love it.

  • Thanks. It scrubs up well on film.

We've had loads of deaths / murders filmed - must have a stabby vibe. Deaths of Gram Parsons, Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys, and a gruesome murder in the series Spotless, as well as End of the Fucking World.
Some nice ones though - a movie called Bromley Boys coming out this year was fun.

  • Thats mad.

  • Anyone watching McMafia? Just finished the first episode, so far it’s shaping up to be a Russian version of The Godfather updated for these times. Fantastic.

  • On episode 3. Everyone is far too good looking.

  • The second series of Search Party is pretty good.

  • Surgeons at the edge of life on BBC2.

Amazing work performed by the surgeons and a great documentary.
