  • including the 94 year old d-day veteran..?

  • Yeah why not, he's doing a great job of trivialising horrible death in the trenches.
fucking cunt. and he sounds like a toff as well.

  • i blame the jus.

/shamelessly stolen from an earlier fb thread on the subject.

  • loljusarbeitmachtfries?

  • omg it looks like i said
    usa

  • "I can see the appeal of Alanis Morissette. Volatile women are always attractive, but after two years you find yourself saying 'can you put the lids back on all the jars please?'"

The Trip in Italy, liking it so far

  • Don't know if this is being shown nationwide, but might be of interest to some. Michael Smiley (Tyres from Spaced) returns to NI after 20 years away to investigate all things cycling here. Enjoyable enough, witty banter, courier stories, time trialling, penny farthings, Martin Irvine, photography....

  • Loved how they read out the highlights of Jay Rayners review of Manchester House in Restaurant Wars last night

    It's very funny, regular lolz...

  • Which I'm amazed at, I don't normally like either of them...

  • maybe its an age thing ..

  • Meh...

  • Also loving The Trip 2, the impressions and food of the first series had a compelling purity to it but I'm not against the increase in plot this time around. Never liked how seriously Coogan took himself but I've realised now there's nothing wrong with that, as his character in 24 Hour Party People said, "Yes, I take myself very fooking seriously"

  • everything he's done that isn't AP seems to be an attempt to disassociate himself from that role. look at me! i can do other acting too everyone!

  • Rob Brydon gets on my tits

  • he's good at doing impressions of other more famous than him welsh people.

I think he's quite knowing about the fact that that's how he appears as well. A lot of his character in The Trip is very parodical.

  • that's the whole point isn't it?

  • Derek S2E2

    What the FAAAAAAARRRKKK!?!?

  • Nowt to do tonight so was thinking of catching up on C4s Fargo - is it worth a couple of hours of my precious time!?

  • Yeah, it's alright.

  • Generation War is on tonight, the first episode of three was on last week and was very good. It caused a bit of a fuss in Germany. Would Wehrmacht soldiers still fraternise with a jew in '41? I don't know. Personally I was surprised there was so much doggie-style sex in WW2.

  • Hinterland
Nothing exciting, just good stories and good acting. Lovely scenery.

A bit like a Welsh Wallander.
