Hadn’t thought about this - I’m pretty sure you can get stuff built on it now too, so can build my Omnium with it

they said no and said its not legal :(
I have been sort of worried about this. I had assumed Fully Charged would only sell me something road legal in the UK.

What’s HS?

high speed

It's such a stupid thing. We have Cycle Scheme available at work. The scheme itself allows unlimited voucher amounts but our benefits team have put a cap on it. shrug

Why non-E?
-
• #8808
and E of course!
sorry I should have been clearer- It's just that there are not as many easy solutions for non e cargo bikes that I'm aware of. at a similar price point. also they use the powunity trackers- they're decent
-
• #8809
maybe a similar tracker but this business has only been around for a week or so i think??

Yepp makes a very sturdy rack

Just ride it for sure.
Sold a few bikes where folk have just ridden it home, Glasgow > Edinburgh which is 45-65 miles depending on mixed road route or canal only (easier and less stressful, but a few places where cargos can get stuck with gates that don't open) -

When i worked for pedal me we'd go and collect the bikes from the UA factory in amsterdam, then ride them back to london :)
-
• #8814
I don't have hs and it's 30miles so will be 2 hours (and a little bit extra).
-
• #8815
I mean let's not piss about, it'll take me close to 3 hours I reckon.
-
• #8816
And I'll need some cake on the way.
-
• #8817
There are places I hear.
-
• #8818
You could buy a shit load of cake at the start and carry it all the way. It's a cargo bike after all

• #8819
Well up for a group cargo bike cake ride. Pickup from Konditor & Cook in Borough Market.

In. I can meet at Ashford/Staines/Egham/Chertsey. If it’s cake we’re looking at, I’d recommend modifying the route to come through Teddington. There’s a Polish cafe called Gosia and they do the most spectacularly indulgent home made cakes (as well as goulash, potato pancakes and pierogi). The route through is also quite pleasant. I’ll come on my cargo.

Relented and wrote an email asking if the expected deliver was still this month. Was about to curse them for not IMMEDIATELY replying, when I checked and found the email in my drafts folder. Urgh.

Thank you for getting in touch and apologies about the delay in getting back to you. This week Urban Arrow have lifted their prices to all of their models. We have gone back to them and expressed that all customers who placed an order prior to the start of the year, should be exempt from this price-jump. It is being contested but we are more than confident that there will be no price-difference to your purchase.
With regards to their delivery, they couldn't give us an accurate time frame when we have spoken to them this week, which I really do appreciate is an annoyance for you, especially after they had continued to tell us delivery would be in January. We are hopefully expecting delivery in late Feb/early March - and as their largest supplier here in the UK, will be the first to get the bikes to us.
We will be monitoring this closely for you over the coming week as we continue our talks with Urban Arrow surrounding delivery.
Meh, what can you do.

lifted their prices
trying to soften the blow instead of saying price increase?
That's a good shout. Guess I could try this and just get Mrs Soul a normal bike for recreational trips.
