And long tails, gsd types

This was my issue with the load also. Although if I had actually ordered the packster and now had the 15% off I would be going the load route now.
I feel the same as you. I spend all my time working out which bike I wanted and settle on the P70 and now all the other options don't look as good.

I assume I get the 15% off bit it is a gray area as I haven't paid the balance. Don't really want a load tho.

Have been messaging with FC about a Rohloff HS one they have in stock, but can't get excited about it. What am I missing?
-

Got the 15% discount confirmed by FC, so I have reserved a Load 75.

Low and maintenance and running costs of a hub gear without sacrificing much, if anything, in the way of efficiency.

I have really excellent experience with Rohloff on cargo. They are very functional, easy to handle (ie getting the wheel on and off) and very hardy / reliable. Love em!

Better than the packster?

Rohloff in general is the business.
If you need any tech help / servicing etc just speak to Simon at Thorn cycles

That was terrifyingly fast.
I'm going to move a bit slower. And hope to find something second hand and that fits in the shed. -

extreme jealousy, double batt too, with that you can have a 3rd child

5 point; amazon, I am using it with the same seat as yours

Is rohloff really worth the extra money? It seems to add the best part of a grand to the price of a load 75
-
• #7894
My deposit is in the process of being refunded so that's nice and quick from fully charged.
I also have the 15% offer.
-
• #7895
Imo, yes. It’s absolutely good value for money and worth it. Whether it’s essential then no it isn’t, unless you’re going to be pushing the bike to the load limits and doing a lot of miles
-
• #7896
Absolutely.

What have you got at the moment?

Rohloff on a normal hybrid I would say is just showing off, unless you genuinely do 5000 miles a year or go world touring and want it to just work.
Rohloff on a cargo is again, boutique, but they just bloody work. A11, A8 and Nexus 5 all can fail if not treated nicely most of the time. Enviolio/Nuvinci, well, every mechanic has seen their bucket full of those failing (well not necessarily failing, but they get internal wear/grooved out so you end up with pretty much just one gear that stays put). -

R+M packster fallout maybe larger than I thought, had 4 phone calls today looking for alternatives, 2 left deposits keen to get a bike asap. Maybe R+M have been selling a whole bunch more units than I guessed (originally estimated around 100-200 R70 in the UK, but think there are more/were more ordered/waiting for stock type situations). In terms of normal bikes, drop in the ocean, in terms of cargo's, thats huge. UK market is very small.

I'm being quoted 8.6k for a rohloff load 75 by r&m
I'm going to look at a trailer again too. It was searching for trailers that got me to cargos originally.
