  • still seems an odd omission.

    I agree!

  • I seem to recall @amey has a rear rack on his? I'm in the process of trying to fit one using pclips and a disc brake compatible rack but the rear light gets in the way so I think a blow torch and vice are going to be required to bend the struct to an amenable angle

  • then noticed these bullit bikes have no lugs for a rear rack, which is a wierd omission. Such an easy thing to install on a frame, and you'd think that rear end would be rated for a few extra kgs.

Completely agree, I have a rack on mine that I installed using M Part seat collar with rack mounts. Funnily enough my dropouts have a rack mount but frame doesent!

I'd say racks are essential on cargo bike esp if you are hauling a kid; you want easier/quicker access to stuff that you can take with you.

Mine is a racktime rack; its excellent.

  • As far as I'm aware racktime is Tubus' budget friendly option. I also rate racktime racks!

  • yeah it was my last bike24 order before brexit, very emotional about it

  • LarryvsHarry do have their own pannier rack which you can get from any UK Dealer

  • I don't suppose you have any on-the-ground pictures of it fitted? The images on the website are vague on detail. Specifically how the arms are mounted at the rear bridge and the strut on the non-drive side.

  • I fitted a rear rack, a little bit of bodging to get it around the disc brake required.

  • So I just went to bleed the Magura brakes for the first time. How hard can it be?

And guess who's brakes now work perfectly first time!

    Not mine, lol

  • I have found the best way to get the most out of Magura brakes is start by putting them in the bin and finish by fitting any Shimano hydraulic brakes

  • I can get some photos of this for you tomorrow

  • I know this is the smart answer. I've posted the same thing in Dammit's thread on several occasions but now that I have them and have already sunk money into making them work, I want them to work. I finally understand

  • Have I mentioned how much I fucking love my omnium?

  • So you have actually installed brakeless?

  • Brakeless cargo for sweet flow and oneness with the bik

  • Technically yes

  • Got veery excited about this Urban Arrow, then realised it had roller brakes :(

Every review I have read of roller brakes ends with a story of them catching fire, or failing on a long descent, and needing a total strip down to re-grease (if they havent melted). Why would Urban Arrow, or anyone, fit them to a £4000 bike? Infuriating because this is the exact chassis I want at a great price, but I'd need to switch out both wheels.

  • Also I'm making the assumption I can just unbolt the passenger box quite simply without damaging it, or does anyone know different?

  • Why would Urban Arrow, or anyone, fit them to a £4000 bike?

I have the same question; I am putting it down to the whole Dutch thing. Their infra doesent require mad stoppage as a cunty cabbie isnt around the corner for them .. I guess.

  • If that’s your budget why don’t you contact Pedal me? They are moving on their older XLs. CX, Rohloff, 4 pot brakes.

  • wait what? got a link or do I have to email?

  • Yes I used to work for them, and someone mentioned this to me on a few weeks back. Everyone was super busy though and the conversation sort of stalled. Is it really happening now???

Definitely interested, who do I contact?

  • Email, they sell their bikes with the proviso you do a couple of hours of training.

As William used to work there he may be able to forgo that though.
