  • Just took one person on the front and one on the back. Absolute breeze.

    Proper chuffed with it

  • a few weeks ago they had prices with specs, the bigbilly with shimano steps was about 3250?

  • Amazing. What capacity is the battery? What mileage are you expecting per charge?

  • 17.8ah

Not entirely sure on range, but from what I've read pure throttle should give you around 18miles, so PAS will be much greater. The display has an odometer, so I'll report back.

  • Great. That battery looks massive, too. Is it a dolphin or whatever they’re called now? Still a long way off funding mine, but real world mileage will help a lot.

  • It's a hailong battery

  • Cool thanks.

  • That's the 48V one, right? 0.85 kWh is quite impressive amounts of capacity.

  • 36v, so 0.64kWh

  • What was the thinking behind mounting it on the top tube as opposed to the downtune? Seems like a lot of weight to have up so high.

  • Looks ever so slightly more like a motorbike fueltank, also doesn't hit chainring.

  • Looks awesome man! Very jelly.

  • The frame is so compact it wouldnt fit on the downtube. Quite a lot of room in the top tube..

    Weight distribution feels fine!

  • Also this. Need some cool stickers for it!

  • Where's your cargo going?

Just I remember fucking about with the front hub motor Treks when I worked in a dealer. Lean back, pedal a little and spin up the front wheel. Would imagine an upright rear loaded cargo bike would do this almost all the time.

It's an Omnium so the load would be above the (electrically assisted) front wheel. Figured I'd mostly be using it when loaded, so traction shouldn't be too much of an issue.

  • Bloody hell it’s hot out. Went out, came back, then back out like this (to donate the trailer to charity)... then came back with a very important load in the crate.

  • So, with PAS on the highest setting (9). and using the throttle a bit, testing it out.. maybe 10-15miles on setting 7 with my 40kg wife on the front - 43 mile range

Pretty impressed. Will do more tests on different settings and report back.

The indicator was pretty misleading though, dropped from 3 out of 6 bars to zero pretty rapidly.. which has left me with a heavy af bike and a wife to carry home, not that bad to pedal without assistance though.

  • I read that as "PUKE IPA"

  • Very likely if you downed all 8 at once.

  • Sometimes all it takes is a whiff of IPA.

  • Done. And my god it's ugly. Already love it. Had to carry a Brompton today.

  • what an ugly bike! you should sell it immediately

  • Now you can spend time on those potted plants (or lack of them).

Or strap your mtb to the front and pedal to Wales
