  • I completely forgot about this, sorry! I've got a less hectic day tomorrow so should be more at the front of my mind if it'd still be helpful.

  • Had a go on one of these on sat: https://www.cagobike.com/en/fs200life.

massive spec. Luxury SUV cargo bike.

  • not sure @boomboom that can spread in the Italian market :P
    (google translator is your friend!)

  • Nice

  • Kudos to whoever it was that suggested those eBay animal feed troughs. Bit of dremelling, a few Velcro straps and a bungee net and I’ve got an easily removable cargo box for the back of the bike. Way better for quickly banging shopping in than the surly panniers.

  • guys, quick question, for those that can see facebook links
    should i offer 1500?
its a cube cargo with enviolo 250 watts

    https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1435751707017872/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A8ec3a86d-e041-4b49-95b1-e0ece302d6e9

  • From what i have seen 1700 is a pretty good price (judging by DACH prices) Seen ones like this with dual bat selling for like 2500-3000Euro if they will take 1500 its a seal. 17oo is still a good price if they wont budge.

Ex same model for sale in germany with more worn out accessories: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/cube-cargo-hybrid-lastenrad-e-bike/2687840875-217-4306

  • Taking apart a Bafang battery - because the input for charging pops out now....
    Has anyone done this?
I think my Besbike battery has been rebuilt by Besbike anyway so no warranty (HA!) to void.

  • Are you sure thats a good idea?

  • Not really. No.

  • What do I with the input socket that keeps popping out? Glue it? looks like it's come free of the nut that holds it against the case...

Cargo bike hire around London from about £3 per hour.

  • @dubkev sorry for the delay. Here's the underside of an Urban Arrow XL for you. The black part is the frame of the bike, the silver part is our custom flat bed.

  • Used these a few times, my only experience of cargo bikes (apart from the cheap cracked frame one I bought that still needs moving on), can fit a decent amount in but had to be v.careful at high speeds.

  • Not that scary, just make sure you're careful when you do it. Dont short between the positive and negative of any cell, becareful with any screwdriver etc.

  • It looks like for a large chunk of the year I will be moving to Boston, so our heavily underused R&M packster 70 vario 625, cargo line etc (full spec at some point/ via DM) will be for sale.
I’d like to see £6k as the original spec is over 8…
London based, dm me for more information.

  • So I decided to get one of these.
Like it so far, handling loads great with a nice and nimble handling.

Probably keep it as is for now, but mudguards and dynamo hub is on the upgrade list.

  • Finally picking up my Load 4 75 this weekend after it was delivered to the shop in November

  • Thank you that is really helpful. Very much appreciated that you took the time to do this.

    Endless straps it is then!

  • Why such a long wait?

  • My favourite Load feature, gets through anything comfortably.

I have an electric Omnium with mtb tyres too which has more power and agility, but the Load is like a limo.

    Enjoy!

  • have you swapped the bars? talk to me about garmin varia and the speaker?

  • Yeah, Soma Dream bars with ESI grips. The basic ones are too narrow for my taste. JBL Clip speaker is waterproof and has a hook. Varia with camera as I had too many close passes – it's attached to the far side of the box to make me look wider, and I can see it flashing which lets me know somebody is approaching.

I also switched out the chainring for a 38t (from 48t) as I live in the countryside and use it off road a lot, added some big 2.25 tyres, and switched seatpost/saddle, and added some Ortlieb packs to the back of the box – fits a spare battery perfectly.

Here's how it looks most of the time, with a FollowMe attached. It's longer than my VW Transporter.

  • very cool!

my canopy is quite saggy compared to yours for some reason, in that (sides open) config the straps are always loose and come off the knob that you secure them on ..
