  • Will see if it works...

    Minimum System Requirements

    640 by 480 pixels 16 colour
An IBM compatible computer running Windows '95 or later

  • Retro, but it works on my win7 laptop.

  • Looks like smaller gaps on 3x than 4 or 5.

  • We've had the gaps conversation before (larger gaps at the centre of a spoke's length with additional crosses):

  • Thanks Jono, thought I'd seen that somewhere but couldn't find it earlier.

  • I'm building my new 48 wheels with a -3,0,+3 pattern.

So 2/3 of the spokes are 3 cross, and the middle one is radial.

Should still be strong enough as it's effectively a 32 hole 3x, with the radial spokes covering the gaps.

  • Crow's feet?

  • Yes

  • Crow's feet?

I think it's just the angle of the shot and the flash.

  • John are you still getting a 700?

  • It's gonna radically change H-Bomb's game...

Looks good, when are you planning to build it up?

    Yes, Magic x Oak

When I can be bothered, I've got all the stuff for it.
    Fixcraft hubs
    Sapim Race spokes
    Velocity NoBS rims

  • Velocity NoBS rims

    Go chukker or go home!

  • Just wanted some opinions on wheels,

been playing polo for a bit and my trusty 26in wheels that came with my polo beater never stay true.

Never really bothered me but having switched to front brake an untrue rim is sketchy when applying the anchors. So been looking for a new wheels set and the best I could really see available to me was these.

But at 36 spoke I am going to still need covers which isn't really too bad but wondering if they will take the same punishment as a 48 spoke set.

I want to keep on 26s as I feel nicer being a little closer to the ball and the shorter wheelbase. So is it worth going the extra to build up a 48 spoke over 36?

  • So is it worth going the extra to build up a 48 spoke over 36?

    1. No.

    2. Loads of info over there: https://www.lfgss.com/thread18787.html

    Yours,
    32h 26".

  • Looking for a narrow 26 rim, preferably one that'll take a 1.1 tyre, 32h.

    Recommendations?

  • XC717Disc?

  • mavic xc717 or xm719

  • That looks good. Not too pricey either. Thanks!

  • I'm about to build some xc717s four someone up here, they seem nice and light and are meant to be strong, although I personally prefer the extra width on the xm719s which I have on my MTB but are the same width as my polo wheels.

  • Although I reckon the 1.25 tyres I have are about as thin as you could go on the 719s.

  • xc717s are surprisingly strong for how light they are, molaim iad freisin.

  • can this be merged?
