Saw Strange Fruit recently in Camden. Great gig.
2 band members (Guitarist and bass player) are the sons of Pete Perritt of The Only Ones. They remind me of early Velvet Underground. They're on again Thursday in Finsbury Park's Silver Bullethttp://www.thesilverbullet.co.uk/listings/?lgig=d758bd99-6d98-47bb-a4fa-6db87f598be5&performance=1

Last nights QOTSA gig was incredible.
That is all.

they were very good, but those fucking spotlights were horrific, I'm guessing being seated they didn't mess your vision up. Sorry I didn't get a chance to come out and see you guys, more people just kept coming in and you had cleared out by the time I got out.
I tried to get a message to about the Enterprise after but that failed to get through...

The gig was superb, we were totally blinded by those lights though - I wondered whether the standing area might have been below the beams and not as bad, but clearly not. The hanging lights were ace too!
I seemed to get a gaze of non-recognition when I ventured over to you in the pub Mark!

He asked me to text you Julia, but I was sulking*. Glad it was good.

oh sorry, I'd just gotten there after a crap tube journey and a rush to get out, so was still not really 'there'

No problem with them standing at the top.... could you see anything at all then?
-

They were really heavily backlit with massive green LED lights so we saw more of the front of the crowd than the band. I blink and I can still see them in the holes they burned in my retina last night.

Great gig though. Mahoosive thanks again for the tickets. Sorry you had to take one for the team BRM. I owe you one as well.

No worries ...
Made me realise that my hip young days of dreads and mohicans are over and I just look like 'Mom' to all the young kids :-(
At least he has seated tickets! (well, i have them right now but...)
