How else are they going to control the resale market without making it impossible to transfer without using their app?

Spare ticket going free for this tonight if anyone wants it. Paper ticket, so would have to meet up before.

Going to see Idles in Bude in July . Yes!

Managed to snag two tickets to see Idles at Pryzm on Feb 15th. Going to be awesome. Saw Dry Cleaning launch their album there last year too.

Very, very long shot, but anyone have/know of a spare ticket for DakhaBrakha in Brighton tonight? I'm going on my jax currently and a friend would like to come.

Jonny Halifax Invocation, The Light Surgeons and Sculpture at Iklectik last night was incredible. Bowled over by the venue too, so it was sad to learn it's closing at the end of the week so London can have some more much-needed office space.

Hello - looking to put together some gigs for my folk/roots band, wondering if anyone had a recommendations for vibey live music pubs in Kent or Sussex that have their own audience/scene happening? Cheers

Well, nobody had a spare ticket for DB in Brighton last Friday, because they weren't playing fucking Brighton last Friday. I got the dates wrong by a week, and got myself to some empty campus in Falmer to find a dark and locked venue. I'm a fucking gimp.
At least I have friends in Brighton so could go to the pub and get laughed at for being such a moron. And then take 3 hours getting home the next day due to train problems.

Ha - that is excellent!

Bit late to the conversation but I went to the Ice Cube/Cypress Hill show at the O2 as well - cracking show all round but ruined for me by the atrocious sound (at least it was where my seat was). Bass so loud that it drowned everything else out - and that was with earplugs.
So imagine how pleased I was to see Cypress Hill were playing in Brooklyn at the exact time that we'll be out there on holiday. Yes please. Souls of Mischief and The Pharcyde supporting. Hopefully it'll more than make up for the crap experience at the O2!

Secured myself a Breeders ticket at the Troxy which I'm very excited about.

As in Cannonball?
I think that's all I know from them but that's probably reason enough to see 'em
-
• #1991
How’d you manage that? They’re not on sale till tomorrow? I’ve got an alert to get them and Mr Bungle tomorrow morning (not on the same bill, sadly…)

Mr Bungle
Are all the weird bands of my youth coming back out to play again?
-
• #1993
Yep that’s them.
-
• #1994
They had a pre-sale on their website. The code was Hippy’s favourite Breeders song. Looks like they’re still available.
-
• #1995
Ah, I'll probably be out of the country riding when they're here. Cheers though.
-
• #1996
Nice one, we're in. Spent a while trying the Troxy and Dice sites before realising you meant the band's one!
btw - anyone wants a ticket for Slowdive, Apollo, Feb 17, drop me a line. Just realised I'm out of the country.
-

I ended up buying tickets for another gig while poking about the Troxy site haha

I was briefly excited to see AMC were playing, but realised it's not actually American Music Club.
Orbital is tempting though.
-
• #1999
Yeah the orbital gif looks decent and I’m sure I’ll be disappointed I didn’t get tickets when it happens but I think I’ve seen them enough.

Someone was talking about Orbital in the Rave thread but that's fully booked. I'm seeing Underworld again in April though
I went to the US to see ACDC, Metallica and Tool at PowerTrip and the only people that could afford it were basically retirees :D I still love a pub quiz though.
