  • I'm glad they played an old building on that occasion.

  • Eminem, £90 a ticket

    ha.

  • Seriously tempted by Einsturzende Neubauten on 19 November: I saw them at the Forum a while back, my main hesitation is about the state of my ears. They got a bit mashed by GSY!BE followed by an infection, and have not been the same since - high pitched whistle most of the time, intermittent rumbling in the right ear, trips to hospital, MRI scans etc.

  • It'll be worth it...

  • Neubauten? In.

  • Anyone going to Pure Love at the underworld on Friday?

  • Pure Love might be the worst band I've ever seen live

Not that I went on purpose, they were a support

  • Got Mrs Y tickets for Howling Bells for mother's day, only a couple of weeks away now. I like all the "Bends" era Radiohead styled guitars on the previous albums so really looking forward to this. Only heard one song from the forthcoming album, too.

  • Owen Pallett at Oval Space on Wednesday...

    If it's anything like this...

Owen Pallett - Lewis Takes Off His Shirt - YouTube

    Then fuuuuuuuuuuuuck I can't wait

  • oops. I seem to have won a pair of tickets for the Sunday of Field Day, headline act being my fave band of my student years in the shape of Pixies.

  • Going to see La Dispute tonight, a bit drunk already but going on my own so required for hipster hardcore

  • oops. I seem to have won a pair of tickets for the Sunday of Field Day, headline act being my fave band of my student years in the shape of Pixies.

and some goody bags turned up just now - CDs, t shirts, badges and stickers, but the attached poster tube was empty

mind you, not sure Mrs Ludd would have wanted Pixies posters up in the house

  • Anyone going to Neutral Milk Hotel at the Roundhouse tonight?

  • Yep

  • And Owen Pallett last night was fucking brilliant. He's such an awesome musician and seems like a decent bloke as well.

  • Xiu Xiu tonight anyone?

  • Tomorrow night at the Wenlock Arms:
    The Elasticated Waist Band
    http://www.elasticatedwasteband.com/gigs.html
If you fancy good beer and a proper London knees up

  • ^^Aeroplane over the Sea is definitely worth the time. The production is a bit peculiar at times but the song-writing is pretty amazing.

  • Prince in Glasgow last night, was f-ing incredible! Hydro is a great venue too

  • To cheer myself up about not getting Prince tickets, I'm off to that there London next week to see this:

    Nick Zinner 41 Strings

    I can't wait!

  • Got two tickets for Slint in August at the Electric. Apparently, the missus would rather eat her own face....

    Anyone want the second ticket?

  • Saw the Violent Femmes last night. A great time was had by all. Brought back lots of good memories.

Can you recommend to me a similar, but younger band. I'm in the mood for going gigging again.

  • Shakleton @ St Johns totally bossed it this evening. Awesome shit.

  • Got two tickets for Slint in August at the Electric. Apparently, the missus would rather eat her own face....

    Anyone want the second ticket?

Goodness, I saw Slint a number of years ago at the Forum. They played Spiderland, which I do like, but they were totally up their own artskool arses and I had to leave, it was painful.

  • Looking for a ticket for Arcade Fire, Hyde Park, Thursday 3rd July.

    WHADDAYA GOT....?!
