Its a great little fest fo' sure, they tried to stop organizing it as there was so much hassle, carnage for police to clear up, and quite a few people died, overdrunk in the last few years.
Its basically just a load of people getting together in a big park, drinking smoking dope and relaxing listening to music. I think people will love it, especially having just come from a long ride to sit down and chill will feel rewarding. I think its totally worth it, and hopefully a few of us cambridgers will be able to join ya'.
Keep us posted...
It attracts a lot of disparate groups; hippies, bikers, goths, metal-heads, ravers, and a fair few locals of no particular affiliation. Not huge numbers of students as a lot of them still have exams then. The stalls too range from greasy burgers and plastic tat through herbal highs, various varieties of ethical foods, some genuine craftsmen (fancy a posh hammock?) to stalls promoting various issues and alternative politics.
I particularly remember picking up a goat curry and an anarchist pamphlet on Tesla coils one year.

I'd be up for this as long as I'm back for the nocturne. What time are you thinking of departing CB?

I spoke too soon earlier. That's the date of the Exmouth Exodus, so I'm making an exodus.

list time, need to check diary but a cambridge ride would be sweet, was awesome lat year, despite the amount of time it took.

What time you leaving London?

Dudes I think I've got a weekend away on the south coast with a bunch of mates, if it doesn't go ahead I'll be down for this.
Whoever wants to take the lead on this, feel free to, if you need me to update the opening post, then just pm me and I will..
I'm going to leave it in your hands, to organise, make lists and decide on a route, though this one is pretty much the one we did from last year. Get in contact with some of the Cambridge boys and lets get them down so they can ride back up to the festival... -

I'm happy to guide you to the fair/facilities once we enter Cambridge.
I just need to know what time and where you will be leaving, so I know when to take the train to London.should be totally worth it...

obviously needs to be an early start, say 9am, so you can get there with some time to enjoy the event before having to get train back, and also to allow for stoppages, mechanicals and the unforseen..

I'm totally down with getting the train to London and then cycling back for this.
To jump in with all the other Cambridge lot, the multi storey car park near by has a bike park on the bottom level with 24hr cctv etc and the best bike shop/repair stall in Cambridge (Bicycle Ambulance).
Matt Power and I had a lovely ride to London on Sunday that went basically parallel to the A10. I'm not sure how it would be riding North though as after the first ten miles we realised the rest of the ride was pretty much all downhill to London.

wasn't sure I'd be around to do this before, need to do this now after weeks off holding off cos of my leg. If dropout or lebowski come they have a very good idea of the route and I think at least one of them will be up for this.

Sounds nice. I'm in if we're back in time for the Nocturne. Probably too early to start a list. ;)
