Any recommendations for a training shoe - for circuit training etc?
I don't run - only weight lifiting and circuits (weight lifting I tend to do in socks anyway). I don't want anything with a thick spongy sole, it just needs to be stable and supportive. I used to go in running shoes (Lunar Glides) or Roshe's — runners were too soft and Roshe's are basically foot bags with little or no support. I've been wearing Reebok workouts recently because they seem the best out of what I have, but they a bit clompy for circuit training.

Are you actually asking about a pair of trainers that will actually be used for training in the trainers thread? Srsly?

^This. I do not run, my 'sports' shoes have cleats..

Zoom Structure 19 are fucking awesome. Light, stable, and I think a real looker for a runner. I used them for last 18 months. Lots of leg weights, circuits and dynamic training. Really good stability but not heavy or bulky. Very comfortable. Come in loads of CW's. I would get again but iD.

Yeah I know. Apologies.

I can second the Zoom Structure 19 - really nice to train in.

Flyknit free?
Nike Free ace?

Converse All Stars for weightlifting. Not a joke.
-
• #17545
Yeah - I've heard this. I've tried similar flat shoes/plimsoles but I prefer to do it barefoot or in socks - feel like I have more control.
-
• #17546
They look like they'll be quite soft and spongy? Or is a firm sole?
-
• #17547
Do the flyknits support the heel and forefoot? They always struck me as a bit footbag-y?
Just looked at the Free Ace :-/
Do they come with a clip on man bun? -

Get vibram five fingers if you're comfortable training barefoot. Best shoe purchase I ever made.
LadyLiz's new pair of Skoras. They look even better in the flesh.

Hate all you want at the free ace boo - they are mad comfy and look good to boot.
Flyknit frees offer more support than racers but they are still a narrow fit
Also,.dgoods, do you have problems getting jeans to fit you?
