I'd quite like it if the countdown was to start a hot lap, not finish one.

The one good thing I like about it is that it does put a lot more pressure on the driver to deliver a lap.

The qualifying format was to change back to what was there before, but it was Jean Todt that put the kibosh on it. Bernie tried a new idea and immediately recognised that it was a visual failure, and said it could change back. Todt wouldn't allow it.
