"Asked if he wanted the double world champion, McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh said: "Yes - any team would. He's the best driver"
turns into the title:
"Fernando Alonso: McLaren target Ferrari driver for next season"

Sorry. I get a lot of people asking. Sadly, no dice.

No worries, thanks!
I'm exploring all avenues...

You should probably stick to the track.

I don't think Alonso will enjoy Kimi being there; not one bit.

b&d, did you say that there's a movie out about the elderly fan right now, and none will ever be made of Brand Beckham?
-
• #3614
Why would anyone make a film about Beckham when his life has been played out in the media?

Everyone ready for another snore worthy gp watching Vettel piss of into the distance from pole again? (I say this in the hope that doesn't happen. But I'm kidding myself right?)

Might have an engine blowout again. The thing that makes it worse is that i'm also a huge MotoGP fan and for those of you who don't watch it there's a rookie called Marc Marquez who's got a similar gap at the top of the championship but the races still consist of him having fantastic battles at the front and it's always interesting to watch. As opposed to Vettel who gets a clean getaway at the start then pushes at a comfortable pace while the rest of the field trip over each other. It's not his problem that he has the ability to do that race after race but it does sap a fair bit of entertainment for the viewers.

I'm not sure I can be bothered to get up early to watch the formula 1 race live, but I was looking forward to the Indy cars at Houston. Though that seems to be turning into a farce.

Mercedes long run testing was apparently very strong, so they might have sacrificed qualifying a bit for a race set up. I don't think it will be as processional as last time. I hope not anyway.
And what happened to McLaren? That qualifying was pretty awful.

Great race!! Incredible action going on. Couple of WTF moments...

Lotus are definitely on the up. Has Kimi realised what he's done? That Lotus seat is a precious quantity now.....anybody would want it.
-
• #3621
Definitely reckon they should make safety cars mandatory towards the end of the race. Great stuff!
-
• #3622
If you want safety cars you should watch the Indycars, they're non-stop there. And this weekend was more interesting than formula 1, with Simona finishing second in the first race, and Scott Dixon/Will Power battling for the win in the second.
And there was the Sato/Franchitti crash.

I'm guessing the driver had been watching this the night before:
Nope. All factory based.
