I totally agree with you.
passes out
I'll do your job for you and disagree with the pair of you. The team favoured Vettel because he was their best (only) bet of taking home the WDC and scoring big points for the team. Ferrari do this with Massa and Alonso but no one seems to care as much. While it may be easy to see Webber as being hard done by he's given as good as he's got. Going out of his way to damage his teammates title hopes which also means attempting to reduce the number of points scored by the team. While it's entertaining to see him rant and slam glasses of water down in anger, if he wanted to do something about it, maybe he should've focussed on driving more than complaining.
Webber always had the option to drive faster, stop whinging and become a number 1 driver. He chose to play second fiddle his entire career. Nice guy but not talented or hungry enough.
Basically this. Just like Massa or Kovalainen or any of the other number 2 drivers of the big teams. Thankfully Massa/Ferrari are both happy with the way things are and it's working relatively well for them.
Either roll over and accept you're a number 2 driver, or drive well enough to be a number 1 driver.

I'm surprised Webber is quitting F1 completely, if Kimi is moving, surely Lotus will be looking for a good driver?

He's going to be the lead driver in Porsche's LMP1 team. He's publicly stated that he looking forward to being able to drive flat out, and not have to manage tires etc. Its not like Webber is going to increase his WDC chances by moving team and I'm guessing that despite the fact he is not a tax exile like most drivers the guy is not short of a bob or two. Why shouldn't he make a clean break and enjoy his driving years while he can away from the media spotlight that is F1. If you look at the sports history it is full of drivers who should have retired long before they did and their reputation suffered Webber was a good F1 driver who maybe could have been great if he took the contract he was offered at Renault instead of going to Williams but we'll never know.
Kimi has stated he has made no decision yet, Red Bull have other options but won't take a complete rookie, seats will free up for drivers in some of the better teams. Don't forget that Lotus could be looking for two drivers if Grosjean has any more upsets. As a Scotsman I'd love to see Di Resta get a decent drive but I do fear that he may have ballsed up his chances when he dropped of the pace in the second half of last season, that said if he can sort out the qualifying demons of the last couple of races he could bring himself into contention.

Webber driver of the day.

Webber driver of the day.
Yes, of course he was.
*As well as Hamilton's incident, which left him last before he fought back to claim fourth place, Ferrari's Felipe Massa suffered a similar blow-out when running fifth, as did Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne*.

I just didn't want to say Hamilton. You reacted predictably.

Tyre problems might be dangerous but that was going to be another dull race without them
Very nice from Vettel getting the safety car out

Dad had a great day, think I can ride off of the brownie points for sometime.

There was a huge cheer when he retired. I don't think he's a very popular chap.

I'm more inclined to blame the kerbs as opposed to the tyres in this case.

Not a fan either but he doesn't seem to put a foot wrong, even when it fucked up he was pretty canny

Yeah Lewis drove a great race. It's not that I'm not a fan, I'm just very indifferent about him.
But Mark Webber did drive a great race, massive charge through the field, especially at the end.
We fucked up massively with Kimi. Gutted really.
-
• #3468
Well the Nurburgring was a superb race. Almost (shoulda) got the win but a double podium ain't to be sniffed at. Fantastic racing all through the feld! Just gutted it was another finger winner.
Amusing to hear Lewis moaning like a little bitch again now that they have to use the tyres as they're supposed to and can't get them to work in the race.
Massa - dismal, but no surprise, he really is the spin doctor, guaranteed to spin everywhere, it's comical.Worst thing was the poor camera man in the pits though, pretty nasty, glad he's relatively ok!
-
• #3469
I'd be quite surprised if Massa's spin wasn't a mechanical failure.
-
• #3471
To be fair, that was the case when his suspension broke in Monaco and back when both he and Kimi's cars had suspension failures at Monza.
-
• #3472
Any further info on the wheel that went on the rampage in the pits from Webber's car?
-
• #3473
Like what? It wasn't put on right. Not much more info you can get on the actual wheel really.
The camera man suffered broken collar bone and cracked ribs but will make a full recovery.
The FIA have now ruled that everyone in the pit lane must wear helmets and cameramen can only shoot from the pit wall.

Right. That's it. I've officially become a Lewis Hamilton hater. What a whinging little brat. Moan moan moan moan moan: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing/wimbledon-champion-andy-murray-has-an-easier-job-than-me-says-f1-driver-lewis-hamilton-8696200.html
Everyone has the same tyres, douchebag! You just have to use them properly.
"it's not fair" http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/108690? !!?? well maybe if you didn't cheat by having a secret/private tyre test the equivalent of 3 race distances earlier (hardly fair on all the other teams, eh?) you wouldn't be banned from the up coming Silverstone test, you silly little bitch.
Oh, you've split up from that pussycat doll? Awww Diddums. Life must be so hard for you...
HTFU and just do your job you spoilt litte prick.
WAC.
