Yes. This tyre change thing is interesting.
Lotus are quite happy with the current tyres.
Moving the goalposts to suit Red Bull and Merc because they cant work them out is not on.Thankfully the changes will now only be on the grounds of safety to address just the delamination problems:

Sounds like common sense has prevailed (either that or it 's mere PR spin)

I think I find it more exciting when the teams are forced into getting pit stops down to 2 seconds (!) than when it doesn't really matter so much.

I am glad to see Rosberg continually getting the better of Lewis. He has had much longer to get to know the car, and Rosberg is making the best of it. Lewis has to catch up, but I am sure he will. He says its the brake feel that makes him lack confidence in some corners, and once (if that was true) he is past that, he will be closer to Rosberg, and I think he will eventually be ahead of him. But it won't be easy. Rosberg showed Schumey a clean pair of heels most of the time, and that was no fluke. In fact, I'm sure Schumey is now wondering if he was right to chuck in the towel, as Lewis is being beaten by Rosberg just as he had been, and Lewis is normally considered one of the fastest drivers in the grid; if not the very fastest.
As a psychological test, Lewis is failing it. He'll overcome it, but its interesting to see him getting rattled by his teammate's speed. It reminds me of Asafa Powell. Whenever Asafa Powell is put under immense pressure, and he feels its possible that he might not win, he tends to go into himself, and crumbles. Maybe crumbles is a bit harsh on Lewis, but its just how it looks at the moment.
All the fun of the fair.
And this time, my buddy bodieanddoyle might be nodding in agreement.

Na. I think it just proves that Hamilton isn't all that, that Rosberg is actually very good and that it just goes to show how much is down to the car: Hamilton had it relatively easy at McLaren.
There is no way he is "the fastest". If you think that you are delusional. In other news - Williams signs lomg term Mercedes engine deal!

Rosberg wasn't always very good, and thats the thing; kudos to him for rising to the Schumey challenge and winning that battle. Besides, whether you like Lewis or not (as is the majority) other drivers and seasoned commentators believe that Lewis is the fastest driver, though most, including myself believe Alonso to be the best driver on the circuit.
When comparing Lewis to Alonso and Jenson, when in the same teams, he was faster. I don't think that is delusional, and its a straight and visible comparison.

http://www.606v2.com/t35485p50-mercedes-now-have-best-f1-driver-in-lewis-hamiltonI find Lewis-hating to be actually one of the most pathetic sporting spectacles of recent times. But maybe there is a prize in it or something.

I'm not and don't "Lewis hate". I just don't think he's the best or fastest driver. By a long way. I do however find it amusing when he and his fans make up a plethora of excuses when that fact is often proved... and even more amused when they get all uppity about it and start spouting "haters" crap.

Was Lewis not faster than Alonso when they had the same car?
Was Lewis not faster than Jenson when they had the same car?I don't think he's the best driver (and have never said so - I have repeatedly said that Alonso is), and actually, I don't know who does, but many people think that he is the fastest driver. And I think once he has dialled into the Merc, or it has been dialled in to him, it will be enough for him to show his true pace. At the moment, I think he's a bit hamstrung.

This last paragraph is hilarious. We are talking about Formula 1 race car drivers here. Key word there being race. In a race, the fastest is the best and the best is the fastest. It is a race. There is simply no other way to dress it up.
The fact he needs the car so dialled in to his own 'style' of driving is proof he is poor at adapting. The fastest, and therefore best driver would do this easily and with little fuss. He's even admitted himself he needs to up his game. Rosberg is schooling him.Don't get me wrong. I don't hate Lewis. I think his debut season was one of the best debuts ever - he would have been champ if he didn't bin it in the gravel at the pit entry at Suzuka! I was actually glad he got it the following year. But right now I think he's got his focus on too many other things to be a champion F1 driver again, like his dog, his girlfriend, his new found 'freedom' from McLaren and his fucking R&B wannabe popstar career. I mean WTF!

He's even admitted himself he needs to up his game. Rosberg is schooling him.....You are wrong. It is pretty accepted that Lewis was still one of the fastest, even when driving the dog of a McLaren that he did last season. Its the same for Alonso, getting so much out of the atrocious Ferrari he had last year. It proved how fast Hamilton was, and how excellent Alonso was. The fastest is absolutely not the best. Ayrton Senna was the fastest of his era, but Prost, without the same pace, but brilliant tactical nous, still took a Championship that was Senna's to lose. One was faster, the other was better. Not the same.

I am happy to concede that you are spot on here. -

That's not wrong, that's exactly right. You are letting your Lewis love cloud your judgement. He was definitely one of the fastest, pre disco ball earrings and hanging out with vanilla ice, but he has taken his eye off the ball and rosberg is giving him a shellacking.
It's a shame. He set the world alight in his first two seasons and was mostly responsible for the new found popularity of F1.

Interesting about Nico. He must get his talent from his dad.
Nigel Mansell said that Keke used to be able to take any car, any setup, and just drive the wheels off it.
It didn't make him much use as a tester, but as a driver, he was sensational. -

I don't hate Lewis - I just think that his bell-end factor has increased over the years. It's nice to see him being "schooled" by Rosberg, but this will change.
