they've cleared him...
if it was the other way around, they'd all be screaming ferrari conspiracy.

Kind of glad to hear that, it would've been pretty bad for the sport. Then again it would be worse if Alonso was wrongly denied the championship.
Still think it's odd the Vettel/Senna crash wasn't investigated though!

Yellow lights on Vettels dash as he's overtaking. Pretty incriminating.
ETA: That photo shows lap 3, the incident was on lap 4.
The dashboard lights are a driver aid and can be wrong. The actual green flags are what matters.

Only if it could be proven that the marshals new about an infringement during the race and ignored it, otherwise just let if go it won't do the sport or any of the teams any good to mull it over.

The Sky coverage showed Vettel overtaking Kobayashi on a solid yellow as well. Is that making the rounds as well or have I missed something?
Also, i'm still surprised that the stewards didn't even investigate the first lap incident between Vettel and Senna? I thought Vettel was at fault.
Maybe i just really want him to lose.

Just saw a video without the tach. and you can see the green flag waving before the pass. As above the actual flags take precedence. Case closed.
Still think they should've investigated the Senna incident though ;)

Disagree with this though, there's a lot of people saying because it was the final race of the year, just let it be and stuff along those lines. But rules are rules, they should be applied in Brazil as they were in Australia or wherever.

That was the slippery surface flag, hard to distinguish from the TV feed though, so nothing done wrong there.

The stewards have access to more information than TV, Kobayashi may have been well off the throttle, and vettel maintaining speed, if thats the case, overtaking isnt a problem (as long as it wasnt in a dangerous manner, obv)
Im sure if Vettel was putting in decent sector times, under yellows, he would have been penalised.I no Vettel symapathiser, in all honesty I wanted Alonso to win the title (never thought i'd say that!) but only under racing circumstances, if in whatever unlikely situation, vettel gets a delayed penalty and Fernandy gets it, its not for being hte better driver.
I agree the 1st lap incident should have been investgated, but 1st laps are notorious for accidents, and there is a lot more leeway given. Still, he turned in to far, and hit someone who did nothing more wrong than be driving in the same bit of road.
Next season cannot come soon enough, some cracking races this year. i would say Interlagos was the highlight though.
Vettel proved (again) that he is a pretty decent driver when he has to be.
Many others would have retired after the 1st lap crash, and if the title wasnt on the line, he probably would have done, considering the amount of damage his car sustained. -

My options are: (just for Oliver)
a) Burn TV license
b) Go on hunger strike (might actually do me some good)
c) Write strong letter questioning having a bint as the front man of a lad's program**Nothing will make Epifania take the bait it seems

I prefer Lee McKenzie. She's done a pretty good job of filling in for Jake in the past.
-

Yep, and all of the drivers know her and get along with her quite well (especially Vettel...) which is handy for grabbing interviews.

This. Suzi Perry is a known collaborator of the cunt that is Jason Bradbury and is therefore unacceptable.

Or, instead of moaning, just watch the Sky footage instead. Much better than the BBCs.

I didn't like it last season.

Aw, I'm so sorry for you. Life must be hard.

I can't think of any program that is broadcast by SKY and also by the BBC, where SKY provides the superior product.
-
• #3066
Really!? Damn, life's tough for you guys eh?
Guess you'd all better put up with moaning about Suzi Perry and only half the season being covered live and with second hand footage then. Sucks to be you.

I prefer Martin Brundles commentary but BBC coverage. Wished he had stayed put.

We cannot have a Sky dish, and Virgin are hugely annoying.
Is there a reliable way of subscribing to the Sky F1 service online?
-

I can access my sky account through the Xbox, I think that you can pay to access some channels.

second hand footage then.
ALL footage on the tele is second hand no matter where you watch it as it is supplied by Bernie big wallet.
As far as the presenters go I recon its horses for courses. My only gripe about Perry apart from the association with Jason Bradbury is that I think that Lee McKenzie would have been a better fit and she did well filling in for Jake Humphries' iPad last season.

I disagree, when I have the option between BBC and Sky, I almost always prefer watching it on Sky.
I think their sports coverage is generally very good, I prefer the football, F1, golf, american football, darts, cricket coverage (and others I can't think of now).

^ This. I don't mind Perry, she was good with Moto GP, but surely McKenzie was an easier, more sensible and more safe option?

I just don't understand how any real F1 fan can not like Sky's F1 channel and coverage. I am a massive F1 fan. So much so I even made it my job! Sure, it was a shame when the BBC lost the full season's coverage but then it was excellent that F1 got a dedicated channel all of it's own. I was, before I saw it, sceptical to it's quality, but when it started broadcasting I was actually suitably impressed. Plenty of chat and analysis (by people who know their stuff and are not irritating, imo) which I like, special programmes covering all kinds of aspects of F1, behind the scenes, in depth team features and, above all, excellent quality high definition advert free coverage of the races. They're even repeated frequently if you miss a live showing.
F1 all day every day (obviously some of the programmes are repeated a bit much but...) what's not to like?Seriously - what's not to like?
I just think the kind of people who moan about things like this are the kind of people that are never satisfied, with anything, and live a dull and miserable life of bitching and moaning about everything... Or is that just this forum?

To be fair, you are the one constantly insulting BBC F1 fans. I prefer the BBC coverage. You prefer the Sky coverage. I don't insult people who prefer Sky coverage (such as yourself) so i'd appreciate it if you didn't do it to people who prefer the BBC coverage (such as myself).
