  • Further confirmation of what we all know.

  • ^^^^^^^Forensic Psychologist. :-)

  • RE: Schumy, I really want to see him in BTTC.

Not gonna happen, but a man can dream

  • From Mercedes to Vauxhall Vectra?

    I think not.

  • He could go to DTM though which is kind of similar to BTCC apart from technical rules, budget, skill of the drivers, and popularity.

  • DTM more likely, DiResta went the other way.

  • Dead To Me.

  • DTM? So that Michael can show Ralph once and for all, that Ralph really didn't have much talent?

  • Vijay Mallya has had an arrest warrant issued against him in India because his company Kingfisher Airlines has been bouncing cheques, and is rumoured to have billions of US$s of debt. Realistically there may not be a Force India team next year.

  • Morning race fans. I've been up since 3am, watching the Vettel looking fast, and all others looking off the pace. I think qualifying may be the same. If Webber gets out on the track, it may be a Red Bull lockout of the front row. Otherwise, I see Vettel on pole, followed by Lewis. A Red Bull weekend I believe.

But to me, the epoch changing news is that Monisha Kaltenborn is the new boss of Sauber F1. I didn't see that coming, but I think it's brilliant for a woman to be in the paddock, as a team boss.

  • Jenson doesn't make it past Qualy 2. Ferraris are in a groove in Qualy 3.

  • Quote of the day from Jenson Button on Kamui Kobayashi: "What an idiot".

  • So Massa's signed another year with Ferrari then.

What do people make of that and the rumour that Vettel will replace him in 2014 (which has inevitably been denied by both Red Bull and Ferrari)...?

  • Probably true. His contract with RB has performance clauses - if they don't produce a championship winning car he can move on.

    Interesting that.

  • And tomorrow (Wednesday) Kimi will announce who he's driving for next year.

    Which will be Lotus.

  • Kimi would have been the ideal replacement for Lewis. And, he'd have shown a clean pair of heels to poor old Jenson. As much as I like Lewis, I do think Kimi would have matched him in a McLaren. And, I think Kimi would have had a real tilt at the Driver's Championship. An opportunity missed.

  • Hold on, the Lotus is considered to be one of the best cars this season by many pundits including Jackie Stewart. They have been consistent throughout the season and have not had the development peaks and troughs that McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari have had. If they had a number two driver who was actually capable of completing the first lap and not attempting to kill the entire field they would probably be genuine constructors championship contenders. The fact of the matter is that with Kimi's experience, track record and the car he should have won a GP this year but hasn't, an anomaly given that he is still third in the driver's championship.

Why would he switch to McLaren, which in your esteemed opinion, is a better team whose drivers happen to be below him in the championship?

Agreed on all points, however quoting an opinion of Jackie Stewart that agrees with you just makes it easier to dismiss the argument.

It is not possible to argue with sideburns as glorious as these:

Even if they are old and grey these days

  • The old grey thistle test?

  • As Mosley said, he's a "certified halfwit.” But, he's right about Vettel.
