All the Spaniards I've spoken to seem to think that he's a right cunt.
The same people think that Rafael Nadal is lovely, and the English press should leave Fernando alone.

Judas to Mercedes is the same kind of deal that took Beckham to LA Galaxy.
It's almost entirely about the money.
Twaddle.
Beckham was after money in the twilight of his career.
Hamilton wants as much money, fame and success as he can from his career.
What a bastard.

Hamilton should want to win - he is after all a "racer". He won't do it with Mercy.

What a lot of hate! Like anywhere and anything, some of them seem pretty alright some less so, but come on chaps, it's a forum thread about a race series...
Oh and no I'm not offended by the language used or by the sentiments, it just seems a little bit too personal.

Language about who?
Alonso is internationally recognised as a tosser and Judas is well-versed in "the way of the wanker".

bodieanddoyle, this thread used to be a place to discuss racing, drivers ability, and and historic input; much of what you contribute is negativity in one way or another. No-one can tell you how to be, but you harm the racing chat with so much bile. It isn't necessary. The dads and girlfriends thing really should be kicked to the curb.
I agree with you though, that Lewis' move shows a lack of loyalty, but this is Formula 1, and the history of this event is littered with such moves. I am not happy to see him leave McLaren, but with Ross Brawn, I think we may see yet another winning team.

Good Luck to Hamilton I hope it works out for him. Great to see Perez at McLaren. Looking forward to see how Perez & Button gel as team mates. Can't say I am all that sad to see the back of Schumacher. I still haven't forgiven him that move that nearly put Barrichello into the wall.

I've always greatly disliked M Schumacher and his most un-sportsman like driving antics. I've actually enjoyed his 'comeback' as it's really shown him up. Funny how he can't get the results he's famed for when he's not in a team that consistently cheats and has unrivalled support from the Sport's governing body. I've enjoyed his public fall from 'grace' immensely.
Good luck to Hamilton in the Silver Arrow, he's going to need it! I'm quite interested in how ze German motorsports fans feel about him driving a Merc!
Really looking forward to watching Perez in the McLaren.
I know from direct second hand experience that after Alonso won his first Championship he turned from being a really nice chap into a right cunt, but I'd rather see him win this driver's Championship than Vettel.
By the way Kimi will be with Lotus next year. This is super smashing awesome news.

ffs you cannot be serious. public fall from grace? how old are you? ferrari hadn't won a fucking wc in about 20 years when they paid a fucktonnne of money for him. why do you think they did that?

I never questioned or doubted his talent. He's just a cunt driver and a cheat. Hence I don't like him. Chill the fuck out, kid.
-
• #2889
Mind you, he's clearly run out of said talent. Hence fall from grace.

To be honest after the incident at Singapore last week I suspect that Michael Schumacher has spent the last three years bound and gagged in a broom cupboard somewhere in Germany and the man we all believe to be him is infact Ralph in a very realistic mission impossible style latex mask.

With the greatest of respect, you're a bit of a bore. Our views are polar opposites - mine's as blinkered as yours. I just don't think that JH will prosper at Mercedes.
JH is such a different person to the young fella who took F1 by storm and I think it's a terrible shame what has happened.

Oh and next season won't be theirs - they're preparing for a big push in 2014...
May not happen now, the poison dwarf has indicated the new engine regs intended for 2014 may be scrapped.

Niki Lauda has said that Hamilton is the world's best driver. I actually think Alonso is better, but it's all the more surprising as Niki Lauda has been strongly critical of Lewis in the past.
-

I think the combination of Haug, Lauda, Brawn and Hamilton will be phenomenal. I'd give a limb to sit in the boardroom when it inevitably kicks off.

He's not always right, but this was probably a smokesecreen: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motorsport/formulaone/lewishamilton/9566468/Lewis-Hamilton-will-turn-down-Mercedes-offer-and-stay-at-McLaren-believes-Niki-Lauda.html
Niki's probably just toeing the Mercedes line now he's working for them, but I wonder if he will put a different spin on this now: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/motorsport/3633091/Lewis-Hamilton-risks-KILLING-another-driver-warns-Niki-Lauda.html

@bodieanddoyle Are you really writing JH to mean 'Judas Hamilton'?
Really...?
-
• #2897
You might as well write Senna's name as JS... He left McLaren after they gave him 3 titles.
Hamilton's move as actually been well supported by the media and a lot of people are actually saying it was probably a good ieda.
We will see...

Senna's a totally different kettle of fish.
JH can only dream.

According to Andrew Benson's unnamed sources within Ferrari they are considering either Massa, Hulkenberg and DiResta as potential drivers for next season.

I addition to Fernando, I presume.
That does not surprise me one little bit. Spaniards in general seem to hail him as the next messiah.
Imagine this, you're in your early twenties and you've won the F1 drivers championship and the only girl you can find to live with you is your sister. That wouldn't have happened to Jenson.
