Deafening silence.

Good racing and qualifying from Massa. That was a real surprise.

Good race. Great performances from Perez and Alonso. Hamilton just made it look easy though, fair play.
I can't help thinking though, from listening to the words said and the body language that Lewis will not be staying at McLaren. It just doesn't look happy between him and the Team now, even when he wins.

Hamilton to go to Mercedes then? Even when McLaren have (arguably) the fastest car right now ?

Congrats to LH. Good racing - kept his nose clean and just got on with it.
Makes the last few races rather interesting.

I know. I think it will be a big mistake if he does. But he'll probably be tempted by the fat pay cheque and the prospect of keeping his trophies.
I could well be wrong though...

Another easy win for McLaren.
If anyone is wondering what the green and white flags were beneath the podium, it was the Northern League. And yes, they were supposedly making monkey noises at Lewis.
edit: the racism was reported on the Autosport forum; there is now some debate as to whether it was mis-reported.

Jesus. I work for an Italian firm and of the 30/35 people who I interact with at management meetings, we don't have one black member of staff in a management position.
I asked my boss why we don't have any black managers and he just shrugged and looked at me. We have black salespeople, but no black managers.

Mercedes' new driver's on pole then.

Vettel had a face of thunder. I don't think he was happy being so emphatically out qualified by Maldonado. Really impressive speed from Pastor.
I'm hoping Kimi and Alonso battle each other hard for points. That should up the excitement in the race.

What the fuck was Eddie Jordan wearing?

^His Sunday best, of course.
So Hmilton's car fails on him.
Schumacher fails in his Merc.
More fuel to the fire.Glad a good race seemed to materialise after the 1st safety car.

At this rate, Alonso will win the championship, with what is regarded as a poor car. Says alot about the driver.
In the forthcoming merry-go-round, will Schumey actually be happy to sign off with a lacklustre overall performance, or will he want one last tilt at a race win? I can see him getting one last good drive. McLaren maybe?
Who will replace Massa.......just as he is showing a slight return to form? Kimi is looking incredibly focused, and I think he will improve for the rest of the season, then again next year.

As a MASSIVE Hamilton fan, the silly season is getting me down. I get the feeling that the move to Mercedes is being massively backed by XIX as that is where they will gain the most revenue. They don't have Lewis' best interests(race wins) at heart. Don't like it at all.

The problem is that if he stays at McLaren, he'll then moan about what could've been.
-
• #2819
Either way, he won't win another W/C.

Well done.

Call me cynical but based on past form it doesn't matter who LH is driving for, unless everything is going exactly how he wants there will be a considerable amount of moaning.

Hamilton is, unfortunately, the man who thinks he's it.
-
• #2823
You can tell from his verbal and body language that he's already decided to leave McLaren... Silly boy, chasing money and bling instead of race and Championship wins.

He is it. No one, apart from Alonso (and perhaps Vettel at a push) comes close.
People just love to hate on Hamilton. Pretty much every qualy session JB stands infront of the media, after qualifying 0.5secs slower than Hamilton in the same car, and yaps on about understeer and not being able to find balance. It's just boring.
I was being only partially serious. I agree that Ross Brawn knows very well how to run a successful team, and that Nobert Huag would hardly intervene. However, there is still an employer/employee relationship going on there and we can't predict the many twists and turns therein. That said, the little weasel Lewis (as thought of by b&d) has being nurturing the friendly chumminess with Norbert with scarcely concealed determination. The baby jebus Lewis (as thought of by gaggles) will toe the line there, as he in not stupid (except for twittergate), just childish at times. He is not the only petulant fast driver in F1; there are other glaring instances if one cares to look at historic examples.
