I think there will be space for him on the Beeb ;0)

• #2153
I think they should give Ted Kravitz an upgrade.

Maybe the BBC will get James Allen back? He was excellent.

• #2156
Interesting . . .

• #2157
And tomorrow morning the new season starts...
-
• #2158
What sites will have live streams of the races please? I feel totally betrayed by the Beeb.
-
• #2159
rojadirecta.me will have links to streams. I would probably feel more betrayed if the new season was remotely exciting

So what do we actually KNOW in advance of the season; that Ferrari have bungled their car, and its too difficult?
That Lotus have made that important step up?
That McLaren are still playing catch-up to Red Bull?
What else?
I'm looking at Lotus to be the real dark horse of the coming season. Williams, I hope, can gain some points, now that the old man has finally put himself out to pasture.

looks like they've done McLaren/octopus style cock up - how long before Pat Fry is let go?

race pace in BCN was very close to McLaren

Possibly, but who was sand bagging the most in testing & will the Red Bull exhaust be declared illegal?
What else?
Has Brawn done it again with the Merc DRS activated rear wing F-duct? With x2 DRS zones in Oz, it could make a big difference.

Lets hope so to the above

Bad enough that Sky have nabbed most of the coverage, but losing Brundle too is an enormous blow. I don't think Red Bull will walk away with it this season due to blown-diffusers being banned, but they'll probably fashion up something else.
Interested to see how Hamilton gets on this year. He needs to put one over Button and reassert his position, otherwise he could be out of McLaren. I'm hoping he's more focused, as I still fancy he could wipe the floor with Button when on-song.

@commie, it reads better if quoted. Though, its not essential.

He'll be more focussed because he's no longer donking that trojan of a woman.

He is again.

Well, his season's fucked already then.
She's an utter wanker.

• #2167
I'll agree with you there. Scheming and ruthless. But he clearly goes in for that. The worst thing is that she's just useless at being a pop-star as she looks crap, can't dance and her music's cack. She's fifth-rate fodder.
Lewis ditched his old man being his manager sharpish though, so maybe there's a meeting of minds there in their calculating personalities.

I would hope that his old man never sucked him off.

Hamilton is a faster driver than Button, but Button makes the better overall choices, and pairing up with Hamilton improved his speed. I was with many that felt Button was on to a hiding to nothing by going to McLaren, but I'm happy to admit that I was off-base there.
If Hamilton could have benefited from observing Button, this is the year to show what he learned. I think it will be a hard fought thing, and that the racing within the McLaren garages will eclipse most of what all the others will be doing.
I will be tuning in, and thats for sure.
Oh yes......crude vulgarity can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>*
This is the F1 thread. You know: Fangio, Ascari, Hill, Clark, Senna. Its a gentlemen's sport dear boy***In language understood in another place.

Hamilton is much faster than Button, but Button doesn't destroy cars. I'd truly like to see either of them win the title, but would rather see Jenson win it. There's just something about Lewis that I can't put my finger on... maybe the arrogance is starting to wear a bit thin.
Alonso is a waste of skin and will moan about the lack of performance from his Fiat. I reckon he'll be outperformed by Felipe Massa and Schumacher will languish in the mid-table again. I'm most interested in seeing the ground made up by the other teams on Red Bull and how their car will perform now that regulations have been adjusted once again etc.
I'm watching Kimi...

In reverse order, I agree that Kimi will be fascinating. He'll have lots to show the young upstarts, including Lewis. Schumey will want to show that of all the World Champions still racing (and this year is quite unbelievable in the amount present), he still has the goods.
Alonso is a true racer, and though I am a true Lewis fan, I cannot deny that Alonso is the better overall racer.
I think if Lewis adds craft to his all-out speed, he may beat Jenson several times. That said, Jenson is a clever pup, and he'll be looking to maximise points, whereas Lewis only really knows going for the win - and thereby turning his tyres into confetti.
I actually feel sorry for Ferrari. They need to get back to near the front. Nobody wants a team running away with the championship, but having Ferrari struggle, is not right. I think Bernie will eventually see sense, and reverse the financial rules, that is now hampering Ferrari. Funnily enough, its said that Red Bull has has over-spent by quite some margin in the last 2 years, but have been clever in doing it. More money equals more points and more wins.

I'm watching it via the internet. Works fine.
If anyone wants a link I'll post it non-publicly to long-standing members.
