Eileen Gray RIP. Super cool woman extraodinaire. Thank you Eileen for everything you achieved.
Awesome interview, from a few years ago. It's a long read but really worth it.

Pauline Ferrand-Prevot has just won the world MTB championships, making her the reigning road, cyclocross and MTB world champion.
Amazingly versatile athlete.

Didn't really know where else to put this. Jenn Hopkins is definitely super-cool and an awesome cyclist, who among other things, was the first woman to ride the Great-Divide MTB race on a singlespeed.

Not on bikes
If we were going to extend the athletic parameters beyond cycling, I'd suggest Anastasia Sokolova, but it would probably be better to stick to bikes here and post all our other heroines somewhere else.

If we were going to extend the parameters beyond athleticism generally, I'd suggest Sojourner Truth, but alas, I am unable to find a photograph of her arse anywhere for illustration.

potential over-share alert (dgaf): i cried when i read this:
https://teamlasercats.wordpress.com/2015/10/06/255/
because what she deals with is about a thousand times worse than what i have to deal with and most of the feels were sad ones but some were also positive feels. fucking good for her! what a boss.
team laser cats and koochella were the inspo behind velociposse which i set up for fun with Jess this year. we get an unbelievable amount of flack but i'm so happy and proud to be part of something that has brought support and friendship into our little corner of women who wanted to try more track cycling.

Looking for more feminist bicycle science fiction?
I... wait... I... what's... just... you... I...
In the not-so-distant future, when gasoline is no longer available, humans turn to two-wheeled vehicles to transport goods, seek glory, and defend their remaining communities... The zombie apocalypse will be pedal-powered! And feminist! Watch out!

The brilliant Emily Chappell being brilliant as usual, this time in, er, Vogue. Shame the pics aren't of her but good to hear she has a book coming out. http://www.vogue.co.uk/arts-and-lifestyle/2015/11/bike-courier-profile-london

There was a lovely article about the women-only Rosslyn Cycling Club (started in the 1920s) in Cycling Weekly last week. If you hurry, you might still be able to get a copy.

That Independent article is incredibly annoying. I'll have a look for CW though, thanks.
