Molly looks awesome.
Dog looks bewildered, yet tolerant.

If i ever get a dog, it had better be tolerant as fuck, as it will be in fancy dress for a large majority of the time if I have anything to do with it...hahaha

Prop it open with a pencil and get the treats out on the other side. Once they've been through a few times try to get them used to the feeling of the flap dropping gently on their back as they pass through (by supporting it yourself) otherwise it will freak them out the first time...

Moving from flat with cat flap allowing unfettered cat exit/entry (oh hai, need rubbies at 3am, 5am, 7am etc) to one that might not allow a cat flap.
How might one manage the situation if flappy access to garden was denied?

Speak to Dammit ... he put together a sisal wound pipe that the cat climbs up to get in a window ... or something.

Beautiful clear eyes, wet nose, flowing mane, housetrained and licks your face if you tickle his belly.
But enough about Ricky that puppy is gorgeous.

We currently live on the first floor, with a balcony (although this solution would work with a window alone I reckon)- £4 rainwater drainpipe, wrapped in Sisal rope attached to (in our case) the balcony railings, reaching down to about a metre above the ground.
The cats are very happy to jump up onto it and climb up, and also down:
We just open the door to the balcony to let them in or out- although a cat flap is on the list to put in the glass door.

Before that we were on the second floor, and I just used to walk down the stairs with James at night, let him out, and then let him back in at 7 the next morning- he'd wait at the door and miaow to let me know that he'd like to go in or out.

what is it with cats and getting in the way? packing my suitcase: she's sat in the case, getting dressed: she's sat in the drawer or like here, changing sheets: she's made a cave in the new sheets; cue much lint rolling needed to not sleep covered in her left over coat
RIP Bella the cat :(
Been in Brussels for three weeks with work. Got a text earlier from my flatmate, she passed away on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Don't know from what, he sat up with her all night until she died at around 7am. Shit sucks :( My flat's going to be so quiet now.

That's so sad, no clues at all to why she passed away? Hopefully she was comfortable and at rest.
Hugs xx

thanks, guys.
my flatmate said she didn't seem in too much pain. they tried to check if she had any discomfort, but couldn't find any. she was young and it was only the one night she fell ill, so it was over fairly quick as well. my phone is full of pictures of her. had to take her off my screensaver yesterday :(
